FARRAKHAN SPEAKS ON OBAMA ENDORSEMENT CONTROVERSY

Earlier today, Nation of Islam leader Minister Louis Farrakhan released an official statement regarding this past Tuesday nights Democratic Presidential Debate in Ohio between Sen. Barack Obama and Sen. Hillary "Hilly" Clinton.

The moderators of the debate were MSNBC Nightly News anchor, Brian Williams and MSNBC "Meet The Press" host, Tim Russert. And it was Russert who attempted to "corner" Sen. Obama about an alleged "endorsement " of his candidacy for president by Nation of Islam leader, Minister Louis Farrakhan.

In response to outrage expressed by many, the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan issued the following statement about recent remarks made by Sen. Barack Obama during Tuesday's presidential debate in Ohio:

"Those who have been supporting Sen. Barack Obama should not allow what was said during the Feb. 26 presidential debate to lessen their support for his campaign. This is simply mischief making intended to hurt Mr. Obama politically."

The only thing different is the wigs.

No doubt on most of Janet's CDs the music produced for her are on point. But take away the music. Take away the beats. Take away the smooth productive team of Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis (who has produced about 98% of Janet's work) and what do you have?
Absolutely N-O-T-H-I-N-G!!!

Say what you will but I feel sorry for some of the contestants on American Idol for having so much TRUE singing talent and having to put up with and go through the shit they have to go through in dealing with Simon Cowell's pointless vicious insults, Randy Jackson's (no relation to Janet) "Yo' Yo' Dog" this that and a third looking like a clown antics and Paula Abdul's (another non-singing broad like Janet and ironically Janet's former dance instructor) agreeing with whichever way the wind blows adding nothing but fake tears and goofy smiles to the show & toward the contestants. And Janet Jackson's ass just sails through CD after CD after CD after CD and it's all the same. Even her former record company and it's executives knew she was washed up with NO singing talent and dropped her from the label and not a moment too soon, in my opinion. That's why her man, record mogul Jermaine Dupree hooked her up on his shit to give her a SECURE place to go & stay.

In A Nutshell: The new CD is called "Discipline", the new single is called "Feedback".
I just pray y'all have the "Discipline" not to spend another dime on Janet's shit.

And I won't.

The day Janet sits her tired ass down and PLEASE GOD OH PLEASE stay OFF the big screen will be the day you, my faithful readers will stop hearing any "Feedback" about Janet Jackson from me.

This is probably McCain's first and will probably most definitely be his LAST visit to Over-The-Rhine.

THE WORST ACTING OF THE YEAR AWARD GOES TO...

This Cast of Knee-Grows Pictured Above!!!

In the opening line of one of Harlem Poet Langston Hughes' Poems reads like this: " What happens to a dream deferred? Does it dry up like a raisin in the sun? Or does it explode?"

As far as I'm concerned last night's TV version of "A Raisin in The Sun" absolutely IMPLODED!!!!

I mean, sweet Jesus Christ!!!! Some things in modern black history are just plain sacred and our dearly departed sister and playwright Lorraine Hansberry's classic and timeless 1959 literary work, "A Raisin in The Sun" shouldn't be tampered with especially by a non-acting knee-grow like Sean "Puffy P. Diddy" Combs in the lead role (or ANY role for that matter) of Walter Lee Younger.

This knee-grow has no emotion, no fire, no acting skills, absolutely no nothing to be calling himself an actor on Broadway or the small screen. That knee-grow "P. Diddy" or whatever he's calling himself this week gave better acting performances in those "ProActive Skin Acne" commercials than he did in that 3 hour loooooooong telecast last night!

I can remember my son at the age of 3 watching the 1988 PBS stage play of "A Raisin in The Sun", with our dear brother actor & activist Danny Glover and our dearly departed sister, Esther Rolle in the lead parts of Walter Lee and Lena Younger and my chip off the young block could recite the entire 3 hour-plus stage play. I would marvel at the emotion my precious lil 3 year old would & could show. Hell, he could even drop down on his knees and cry at the exact same moment Danny Glover, and for that matter Bro. Sidney Poitier (the original Walter Lee Younger in the 1961 movie, A Raisin in The Sun) did! My boy was a sight to see. I was soooo proud and amused to see a lil boy of 3 years old recite an entire play and showing some true acting skill at that tears and all!!!

Now, getting back to that non-acting knee-grow "Diddy".... Bottom Line: PLEASE GIVE IT UP!!! Go back to your Sean John clothing company, go back to making 100,000 babies (well on the other hand PLEASE don't go back to doing that!), just please leave the acting to ACTORS cause guess what bruh? You was down right embarrassing last night!

If I'd paid good money to see your ass on Broadway it would've been a show up in New York City alright....The one I would've been putting on to get my cheddar back!!!!!

(That's money to you lames out there.)

Here's a short review of the rest of the "cast":

-Sister Phylicia Rashad.
Awww-ite but no Lena Younger. This woman is a better actress than she showed last night. Looking at her made me think she was still The Cosby Show mama just with a different family and a few strands of gray in her head. Not good at all. A waste in this role, in my opinion.

-Sister Sanaa Lathan.
This sister showed some talent as the Walter's younger sister, Beneatha. However, no trophy for her either although I could at least come out of my liteweight "Raisin Coma" long enough to perk up and pretend to be interested in what she had to say. I like most of this sisters' work on film, I loved her in sister Terry McMillian's adaptation of her book turned HBO movie, "Disappearing Acts". But this just wasn't her best, in my opinion cause it appears she gave more while everybody else around her gave less.

-The little Brother who played Walter and Ruth's son "Travis" newcomer Justin Martin.
Not too many lines but for a child not bad when he did speak. Very cute little boy.

_Sister Audra McDonald.
A great singer on Broadway. (I own some of her Broadway & commercial releases) A beautifully gifted stage actress. Wrong! for the part of Ruth Younger, originally brought to the screen by our dear sister Mother Ruby Dee and brought to the PBS stage play by Starletta DuPois . She looked like she was just plain bored working along side Sean "Puffy" Combs and I wouldn't doubt if between takes she wasn't taking sneak peaks at her watch and thinking, "When oh when will this shit be over!!!" Same for Sanaa Lathan.

In Conclusion: A Raisin in The Sun 2008 Made-For-TV Movie sucked like hell!!!!! I watched it from start to finish and I think I'll be having nightmares for quite some time to come. Well, maybe it wasn't all that bad but I'll tell you dear friends it wasn't all that good either!!!

Well folks gotta go ....I've got the DVD versions of both the original 1961 movie with Sidney Poiter and Ruby Dee and the 1988 stage play with Danny Glover and Esther Rolle to watch!

Or.... maybe just maybe I can just call my son, now 21 to come on over and perform the whole dag-on thang for me!?!...It'll sure be a helluva lot better than that substandard bootleg crap I suffered through last night!!!!

Well, it looks like today was the day! At The Barack Obama Rally today at The Fifth Third Bank Arena on the campus of The University of Cincinnati, our mayor (the black man) Mark L. Mallory FINALLY gave his endorsement for the presidency of the United States to... (drum roll please....)

Yes, here we go again folks. After all the hype and the fact that our dear Queen Mother of the Stage & Screen, Civil Rights Activist and Humanitarian Ruby Dee has been winning awards left & right this awards season, and despite the fact that this is the first time in her long illustrious 50-plus year acting career the white-owned and operated Oscar Awards has even seen fit in their "infinite wisdom" (yeah right) to nominate her.....

SHE LOST.

To be quite frank I turned the shit on to see if the white man could do it twice in a row (allow a black to win an Oscar) and when I saw it was "business" as usual I hit the off button on the remote, turned over in my king sized bed and called it a night.

The movie "American Gangster" was a good movie. Mrs. Dee had a good part in the movie. However, as I reflect upon the great movie roles Halle Berry had previous to winning the Oscar for "Monster's Ball" and of course, the excellent movie roles our dear brother Denzel Washington acted in prior to winning the Oscar for "Training Day".... Am I really surprised Mother Ruby Dee even got nominated for the role she played as "Mama Lucas" in American Gangster over most of her, by far more stellar performances on film? NOT REALLY.

That seems to be the way it goes in Hollywood for blacks. As the following examples shows:

-Denzel loses the Oscar he was nominated for in the movie "Malcolm X" a strong black man uplifting his people and telling the truth about the white man, but wins an Oscar for playing a dirty lowdown rogue cop in "Training Day".

-Halle Berry loses several Oscars she should have been nominated for, for various movies she's made over the years, however, she wins the Oscar the moment she plays a single mother with a husband executed on deathrow. The white prison guard in charge of pulling the switch on her black husband, eventually, gets to taste the fruits of her naked black nectar, in a very explicit so-called lust scene which has Halle grinding, begging & screaming for that white man to take her and "make her feeeeel goooood"! Need I go on? No, I'm sure you get the point.

PITIFUL ON BOTH ACCOUNTS!!!

However, the fact still remains Mrs. Dee was gypped and the "Oscars" still and always will...

With politicians all around the State of Ohio lending endorsements to their candidate for President, the big question regularly asked by WDBZ 1230 am "The Buzz" talk show host Lincoln Ware and others is who will Cincinnati Mayor Mark Mallory endorse for president? Will it be Sen. Hilly Clinton or Sen. Barack Obama?

The Ohio, Texas and Pennsylvania delegation states are up for grabs and with "Hilly" trailing behind Senator Obama it would be nice to know if the black man (Mallory) with be endorsing the black man (Obama) for president considering Ohio is a white-controlled republican state. And as it stands the Governor of Ohio Ted Strickland has endorsed "Hilly" for president along with the astronaut guy John Glen (for whatever that is worth) and many other white politicians.

Lincoln Ware has repeatedly asked the question, "Why has Mayor Mark Mallory been so quiet about who he's endorsing for president when other members of council have already come out with their endorsements?" Good question Lincoln. "Why has the mayor been so quiet, and who is he endorsing?"

Inquiring minds wanna know.

Whether the mayor endorses Sen. Obama or not, we must do our part and get out and vote our conscience on March 4, 2008.

Dear Readers,

This month is "National Black Aids Awareness Month". Please please please my beautiful black nation know your status and get tested for the disease that has no cure. Get tested for HIV the virus that causes AIDS.

Black people are now 70% of all AIDS cases in these United States of America and black women rank a high majority within that group. How? Why? Unprotected sex is the leading cause followed by intravenous drug use and/or sharing drug needles and yes, it's sad but our incarceration black men participating in anal and oral sex with their fellow inmates then after release coming home to us -- the black woman-- then having unprotected sex which includes anal and oral with us.

WE MUST BE CAREFUL BLACK NATION WITH THE ONLY LIFE GOD HAS GIVEN US!
LOVE AND EVEN LUST SHOULD'NT BE A DEATH SENTENCE!

On a Personal Note: I have lost 3 people in my life one being my very best sistafriend of 17 years at the time of her death at age 38 coming up on 3 years ago to this devastating disease called HIV/AIDS. It ain't no joke. And my heart is still broken. We must take our lives into our own hands. We can't trust "him" to protect us cause he said "he loves us & we're the only one". NO! NO! NO! Like the black militant rap group of the 1980's "Public Enemy" spoke on with fire, "CAN'T TRUST IT"!

Get educated, talk to your doctor, take the necessary steps to protect yourself, USE CONDOMS AT ALL TIMES and do not be afraid to talk to your partner about past sexual practices and then on top of that do your own background check on that person. Yeah it sounds extreme but ain't nothing more extreme on this planet than laying down with a man or woman then finding out life as you knew it will never be the same again.

THERE IS NO CURE FOR AIDS AND IF THERE IS ONE -- BLACK MAN OR BLACK WOMAN -- YOU CAN FORGET IT CAUSE THE PHARMACEUTICAL COMPANIES ARE MAKING SO MUCH PAPER (MONEY) OFF THIS DEADLY DISEASE THE CURE WILL BE FOREVER SWEPT UNDER THE RUG UNLESS DIVINE INTERVENTION INTERVENES!

But until that great and glorious day GET TESTED ASAP and love yourselves black nation cause besides the Creator Most High.... Who else is gonna do it?

The Youngest Mayor Ever Elected to The City of Detroit, Kwame Kilpatrick


I'm sure most of you by now have heard about the shannigans and "adventures" of the mayor of Detroit, Kwame Kilpatrick. I mean, for real what more could be said? This man has admitted to cheating on his devoted loving wife with his chief of staff (Dang! now locally where have I heard that before?), charged his extravagant flamboyant lifestyle --custom made suits & shoes, expensive haircuts & etc., jewelry, limo rides, champagne & steak dinners and expensive jacuzzi loungings with his "friends" to the City of Detroit's credit card and has totally been shamed and discredited publicly.

Now I've always seen Bro. Kilpatrick as a black man doing his thang as far as holding down the office of mayor in the 2nd city known as "Chocolate City" but damn man you ain't white! You should've known your shit was gonna hit the fan faster than a fag running through sissy town!
Negro! What were you thinking?!? Everythang you've done (with the exception of cheating on your wife) was within your right...you grown! However, the citizens of Detroit ain't suppose to be the ones paying for it!

And before I get mass comments from my "grammar scholars", yes I people I meant to say AIN'T.

And what are these recent reports coming out about Mayor Kilpatrick --even during these on-air television public apologies to his wife for cheating and being accused of various other things-- Bro. Kwame's chilling down in Florida with yet another woman getting full body massages and having other "late night" recreational sports with women other than his wife?!?

Oh Laaaawwwwdddd!!!! What next Kwame?

Just a Few Thoughts: Public officials presenting themselves as upstanding young leaders that the masses should follow should at least practice what they preach in their own personal lives and in their own homes. Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick has young sons of school age and what an example he must be setting and what hell he must be putting his children through with his foolishness.

Children aren't stupid they know when their mother is, let's say, UNHAPPY. And those children will react in one way or another.

It's a downright disgrace and fake black politicians make me SICK!!!

We already know white politicians can't be trusted but there's something horribly disgusting about a black politician who portrays himself as one way in the public but is nothing more than a "SNAKE IN A SUIT" behind closed doors.

It has been reported by various news sources this morning that Sen. Hillary Clinton (known from this day forward on this blog as "Hilly" & her old man will be forever known here as "Billy") has been forced to take out her personal checkbook and has written a check from her personal banking account to fund her own presidential campaign for a whopping $5 million due to a lack of raising enough funds from her supporters to keep up with her opponent --the black man-- Senator and presidential hopeful Barack Obama.

It has also been reported by various news sources --just this morning-- that the Senator Barack Obama as of yesterday evening raised an astounding $7 million from just his online supporters! Yes, I said JUST HIS ONLINE SUPPORTERS!

Now, it may just be me but don't you think "Hilly & Billy" are just a little sick about that right about now?

Well folks here it goes... You know we wanna hear from you! Tell us what you think about the presidential race on the democratic side and if you are an independent we definitely wanna hear your opinion! I know, I know, all you republicans just hold on, you will get your chance to chime in on a different entry I plan to write in the near future about the republican race for the presidency . However, TODAY we only wanna hear from the dems and the indies.
