LUKEN NEVER APOLOGIZED FOR ANYTHING!!!

NEW ORLEANS' MAYOR RAY NAGIN APOLOGIZES FOR REMARKS!

This is another "Black Fist" World News Update. Coming to you straight from www.blackamericaweb.com and Brett Martel, Associated Press:

NEW ORLEANS (AP) - Mayor Ray Nagin apologized Tuesday for a Martin Luther King Day speech in which he predicted that New Orleans would be a "chocolate" city once more and asserted that "God was mad at America."

"I said some things that were totally inappropriate....It shouldn't have happened," Nagin said, explaining he was caught up in the moment as he spoke to mostly black spectators, many of them fearful of being shut out of the city's rebuilding.

During the speech Monday, Nagin, who is back, said that the hurricanes that hit the nation in quick succession were a sign of God's anger toward the United States and toward black communities, too, for their violence and infighting. He also said New Orleans has to be a mostly black city again because "it's the way God wants it to be."

On Tuesday, Nagin said his comments about God were inappropriate and stemmed from a private conversation he had with a minister earlier. "I need to be more sensitive and more aware of what I'm saying," he said.

The mayor said his speech was really meant to convey that blacks were a vital part of New Orleans' history and culture and should be encouraged to return. "I want everyone to be welcomed in New Orleans--black, white, asian, everybody," he said.

Nagin said the other main point he had hoped to make Monday was that when blacks do return, they must work to stamp out the crime and political infighting that have held them back.

New Orleans was more than 65 percent black before Hurricane Katrina. The storm displaced about three-quarters of the city's population . Most of the estimated 125,000 residents who have been able to return are white.

Nagin, a former cable company executive and political novice, was elected in 2002 with about 90 percent of the white vote, according to polls conducted by Ed Renwick, the director of Loyola University's Institute of Politics.

Nagin received less than half the black vote, Renwick said Tuesday, and the mayor's heaviest criticism since taking office has come from rival politicial factions in the black community, many of whom have portrayed him as "Uncle Tom" who caters to the interests of white businessmen.

"But some of the remarks he made Monday will possibly dampen enthusiasm among some whites," Renwick said. "It seems to be another Nagin-being-Nagin. He has a penchant for just speaking off the cuff and not thinking it through."

The political analyst added: "He also tends to speak to the literal audience he's with at the time instead of the whole world he reaches through the TV, radio and print media."

This was a "Black Fist" World News Update. Now Comments from your "Black Fist" Commentator General Nikki X:

Now let me get this straight. The mayor of New Orleans, the black man, Ray Nagin has "apologized" for saying he wants the city of New Orleans to be [once again] a "Chocolate City"....? And the white people are mad. Well just what the hell was New Orleans before the city was flooded out by hurricane Katrina.....? Yep that's right a "Chocolate City"! So what the hell is the problem? Thank you for asking, I'll tell you, It appears that everytime the black man "The Original Man", speaks his God-giving mind on a subject, ANY subject he is pounced on by the white man and forced to "apologized" and usually with humility, head-bowed & hands clamped shut in front of him, the black man will apologize. This is not the first time the white man has demanded Ray Nagin apologize for a statement he's made. Nagin was speaking on Martin Luther King Jr. Day to a basically all black listening audience, you mean to tell me "he's sorry" for what he's said? He's not. He just punked out. Pure and Simple. Bush still hasn't "apologized" for not getting government taxpaying dollars, government aid, food & water, rescue efforts and his own narrow ass down to "Chocalate City" sooner after Hurricane Katrina hit!!! Whose demanding Bush "apologize" to the black man, Mayor Ray Nagin and the citizens of "Chocalate City" for all the needless loss of chocolate lives that were lost while the city of New Orleans waited on Bush and the United States government? Dead silence. That's what I thought.

The former mayor of Sinsinnati, Charles (Charlie) John Luken never apologized for shit!!! Whether it be Police (UNjustified murders) upon the Black man, Police brutality, Police racial profiling, Police corruption, Taxpayers dollars being misused and abused, Families of murdered victims (be it by the hands of The Cincinnati Police Dept or someone on the streets) coming to City Hall begging, pleading & crying for justice -OR- Apologizing for his own womanizing in office, alcoholism in office, incompetence, arrogance, ego and wrongdoing(s)......Charles (Charlie) John Luken didn't apologize for shit!!! Why you might ask? Because in his mind he was never wrong.

So in it in my most humble opinion that it is wwaaayyyyy overdue time for the Black Man to realize he is "The Original Man" and stand-up, speak his God-giving mind and stop bowing down and cowering everytime to the devil snaps his fingers and looks sideways at him!

Ray Nagin said what the hell he meant. General Nikki X apologizes for the fact he wasn't man enough to stand by it.

BLACK FIST, BLACK POWER, BLACK NATION!!!!!

"It may not always be Good News but it's Hood News"!

  2. That's hilarious that you think President Bush should apologize to Ray Nagin! LOL It's Nagin who was responsible for the city. He should've used those school buses that were sitting in water to evactuate people instead of demanding that Greyhound "better get their asses down to New Orleans." Take some responsibility! You're the mayor of the city!

  3. since i now see this won't get posted i'll just send the message to YOU, you need to quit blaming your problems on 'the white man' and worry about yourself! This sounds like a familiar theme, like when people blame Bush and not Nagin the person directly responsible for the people of New Orleans.
