MARSHAL SHOT; LOCAL MAN SOUGHT - BY WILLIAM A. WEATHERS - ENQUIRER STAFF WRITER
The former Cincinnati man sought in the shooting of a deputy U.S. Marshal Thursday night was released from prison in 2005 after serving time on felonious assault and drug possession charges here. Authorities said the marshal was attempting to arrest Alexander Hopkins in Columbus on a warrant for a parole violation regarding the Cincinnati charges.
Hopkins, formerly of Regent Avenue in Bond Hill, was released from the Southeastern Correctional Institution in Lancaster in June of 2005, according to Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction records. Following his release, he was placed on five years supervision beginning in December 2005.
Marshals confronted Hopkins while he was in a car in the driveway of his apartment building on Yorkland Road on Columbus' Far East Side about 7:30 p.m., authorities said. Hopkins fired a shot, hitting a marshal in the arm, and fled on foot, authorities said.
The wounded marshal was reported in stable condition.
Hopkins is still at large.

DAMN MAN! I hope Alexander Hopkins, wherever he is turns himself in because we already know if he doesn't - It's curtains for him. The authorities will kill him dead on sight! Because he is BLACK and supposely shot at a U.S. Marshal. Although this is AmeriKKKa where white boys shoot at authorities all day long, are subsequently arrested (ALIVE), taken to jail, given a trial date then proceed through the judical progress. History has shown us that is not how it happens when the black man commits the same type of crime of shooting at an officer of the law.
Nope, ol' Alexander will be dead on arrival if he doesn't turn himself in.

Kill him dead on sight? Oh, you are dreaming, aren't you? Nowadays, they take these negroes, lock 'em up, give 'em clothes, feed 'em, then take 'em to trial. Killing is too easy, it's better to lock 'em up, prepare 'em for the long haul.

16-Year-Old Teen Shot Multiple Times by U.S. Marshals
JUST POINT AND SHOOT
Every person in that complex has some minor problems with the law so you’re bound to get somebody with a record.
On January 3, 2007, three U.S. Marshals unleashed a hail of bullets on my innocent client.
The Marshals, who were supposedly there to conduct an eviction, apparently decided to investigate my client while he went to knock on the door of a girl he knows. Though my client did nothing to draw attention to himself or to disrupt the eviction, within 30 seconds of returning to his car, two marshals ran over to him. Within another four seconds, the marshals opened fire at point-blank range and continued to fire as my client drove away to safety. My client narrowly escaped with his life. A bullet came within one-half inch of his spinal cord.
For eight days after the shooting, my client remained at Washington Hospital Center, shackled to a bed and denied access to his lawyers and his family. The marshals claimed the shooting was justified because my client tried to run them over with his car.
It has been reported in the media that charges have been filed against my client, and a juvenile court hearing was held on January 18, 2007. At the conclusion of that hearing, my client was released. (I did not represent him at the criminal proceeding, and I was not even there; I represent him solely for his civil complaint against the U.S. Marshals.) The release of my client suggests that there was no justification for his detention at the hospital and certainly no justification for the marshals' use of deadly force. However, he remains charged with crimes stemming from the incident in which he was shot.
Now, the U.S. Marshals, through its attorneys at the United States Attorney's Office, have engaged in a shocking "cover up" similar to that tried by President Nixon with respect to the Watergate tapes. My client's public defender has subpoenaed documents relating to the shooting from the marshals. Obviously, those documents are crucial to the defense. But the marshals have removed the matter to federal court and moved to quash the subpoena. In other words, the marshals have chosen to deny my client access to any information in their possession that might exonerate him. They are attempting to hide their misdeeds behind the shields of executive privilege and sovereign immunity.
It was a matter of pure luck that I was able to get surveillance videos from the housing complex where this incident occurred before the marshals were able to confiscate them. If the marshals had gotten them first, we could expect that they would have suppressed the evidence. Were it not for the tapes, it would be the word of federal agents against that of a teenage boy.
The marshals used deadly force against an unarmed teenager in the capital of the United States. Then they charged him with crimes to hide their own misconduct. Now they are denying him access to information necessary to his defense. This outrage cannot stand. If the marshals were justified, then why won't they release any information about the shooting? I hope the media opens its vocal cords and lets go a shrill cry of "INJUSTICE AND COVER UP" in response to the marshal service's absolute refusal to release any information relating to the shooting.

From what you posted it appears to be another no-good police conspiracy to cover-up yet another unjustifiable shooting! Thank God this young man didn't die!

I knew Alex and I wouldn't go as far as calling him all the bad names, but he didn't kill himself, they shot him and claimed he killed himself. that wasn't his style.
