Akron, OH (AP) - The mother of Cleveland Cavaliers LeBron James is scheduled to appear in an Akron courtroom today on charges including driving while intoxicated and disorderly conduct. Police say 37 year old Gloria James was pulled over shortly before midnight Friday by two off duty officers who spotted her SUV weaving in and out of traffic. Police say Gloria James smelled of alcohol and appeared to be disoriented. They also say she struggled with officers who attempted to put handcuffs on her and yelled obscenities. She was released on $2,500 bond and is scheduled to appear in Akron Municiple Court today. This was a Black Fist News Update. Now a few thoughts from General Nikki X: Sista Gloria James, if this is in fact true, Get it together Ma'am. Your son LeBron is doing so well playing for the Cleveland Cavaliers. I've watched him play and he is on the fast track to big time fame & glory based on his natural ability to play the game of basketball. Mothers and Fathers often time tell their children, "Boy (or) Girl, you better act right!, you're a reflection on me". Well Sista Gloria James beside the fact you could ultimately kill somebody or kill yourself on the road (if these allegations are true) drinking and driving, You could ultimately hurt LeBron's image. The whiteman would love to take away what LeBron is building up based on the "image" projected by his "familys' behavior". Is it right? Hell naw but it's real! But in fact the same holds true for parents so much as in this case. So the next time you decide to get behind the wheel of a car please remember....."Gloria James, You ARE a reflection on LeBron". Thanks for this news item. I've put in a call to Mothers Against Drunk Drivers & Students Against Drunk Drivers. They'll handle this in a professional manner. Justice must be served for those who abide by the laws. Everyone knows the legal limit on drinking & driving. Granted, thank the Almighty God, no one was injured or killed, but there's always a next time for that drunk who doesn't get a designated driver.
Thank you for deviating away from painting the world of the blacks in such a light that they are always persecuted unjustly at the hands of the whites. This proves no white face insisted this woman had to drink herself over the lawful limit!
