BLACK MILITANT COMEDY GENIUS: MR. PAUL MOONEY

Once again, welcome back to The Black Fist: Best & Brightest Everyday Black History Series! In this our fourteenth installment I bring to you one of the funniest, most militant, realest black comedians ever to pick up a microphone, to hit 'em up hard about the black experience, the only way a black man who lived through it can tell it.

And if you've ever heard him introduce himself, you know damn well if your time ever to introduce him comes you had better get it right! His name is MR. Paul Mooney. Never too forget the "MR." Or he'll put your ass in check!!!

Let's get straight to it shall we?

MR. PAUL MOONEY (1940- )

Mr. Paul Mooney was born in 1940 Louisiana, and grew up in Oakland, California. Mooney ran away from home as a youth, and became a ringmaster with the Charles Gody Circus. During his stint as ringmaster, he always found himself writing comedy and telling jokes, which would later help Mooney land his first professional work as a writer for Richard Pryor.

CAREER/EARLY YEARS

Paul Mooney wrote many of Richard Pryor's routines for his appearance on Saturday Night Live, co-wrote his material for the Live on the Sunset Strip, Bicentennial Nigger, and Is it Something I said albums, and Pryor's film Jo Jo Dancer, Your life Is Calling. As head writer for The Richard Pryor Show, he gave many young stand up comics, such as Robin Williams, Sandra Bernhard, Marsha Warfield, John Witherspoon, and Tim Reid, their first break into show business.

Mooney also wrote for Redd Foxx's Sanford and Son, Good Times, acted in several cult classics including Which Way Is Up?, Busting Loose, Hollywood Shuffle, and portrayed singer/songwriter Sam Cooke in The Buddy Holly Story.

He was the head writer for the first year of Fox's In Living Color, creating the charactor Homey The Clown, played by Damon Wayans. Mooney later went on to play Wayan's father in the Spike Lee film Bamboozled as the comedian Junebug.

CHAPPELLE'S SHOW

Paul Mooney initially appeared in the sketch "As a Black Dude" on Comedy Central's Chappelle's Show, which he later replaced with Negrodamus, the African-American version of Nostradamus. As Negrodamus, Mooney ad-libbed the "answers to life's most unsolvable mysteries" such as "Why do white people love Wayne Brady?" (Answer: "Because Wayne Brady makes Bryant Gumbel look like Malcolm X.") Mooney was planning to reprise his role as Negordamus in the third season of Chappelle's Show, before its unplanned hiatus.

25 MOST @#%! MOMENTS IN BLACK HISTORY

In 2006, Paul Mooney hosted the BET tribute to Black History Month titled "25 most @#%! Moments in Black History." In this show, he narrated some of the most shameful incidents involving African-Americans since 1980. The top 25 moments included incidents involving Marion Berry, Terrell Owens, Wilson Goode, Michael Jackson, Flava Flav, Whitney Houston and Tupac Shakur amongst others.

Mr. Paul Mooney has twin sons, Darryl and Dwayne Mooney, both are comedians in their own right. Mr. Paul Mooney's career will shine for as long as white America is as racist as it continues to be and Mooney is here to continue to expose it laughing all the way to the bank!

There you have it folks touching only the surface but getting the jest of the career of Mr. Paul Mooney. Our dear Brother Paul Mooney has an extensive television, film and stand up, career spanning over 40 years. Two of his most black militant comedy CDs are the now legendary, R.A.C.E (1993) and Master Piece (1994)! GENERAL NIKKI X'S PLEA GONE UNHEARD

MAN SHOT TO DEATH IN WALNUT HILLS APARTMENT

On Saturday, May 13, 2006. I published a public plea for the violence in the black community to end. (see this:http://theblackfistblog.blogspot.com/2006/05/general-nikki-xs-plea-to-black.html) That plea has once again fallen on deaf ears. And it saddens my spirit to bring to you yet again this tragic story right out of the community of Walnut Hills.

This comes straight from the Channel 9 website:

Two suspects barged into a Walnut Hills apartment and shot a man to death Monday afternoon, police said.

It happened shortly before 2 p.m. on the fifth floor of the Alms Hill Apartments in the 2500 block of Victory Parkway.

The victim's nane has not been released. He lived in the apartment with his two sisters, Channel 9's Shannon Kettler reported.

"We heard a boom, we came over and some guy came running down saying someone had been shot," said Robert Hall, the victim's friend.

Hall said he couldn't understand why someone would shoot his friend.

Several people were seen mourning outside the old hotel Monday afternoon.

Police say there are two suspects in the case, but specific descriptions are not available.

GENERAL NIKKI X'S PLEA TO THE BLACK COMMUNITY

Once again I come to you with a personal plea to the black community to "Stop the Violence." How many times will we as a community wake up in the morning, turn on the television or pick up the morning newspaper to see or read about another black person being shot by another black person? I know I'm sick and tired of it!

There are too many guns on the streets of Cincinnati and too many people without proper permits walking around with them. The Black Fist as an organization has fought against the evil racial wickness of police brutality for the last 6 & a half years. We felt that was a job in this town that no other organization like the NAACP, Urban League or The Black Church was even talking about, let alone actually attempting to find a solution too.
So our organization was formed.

*****Fast Forward 6 & a half years later*****

Here we are in the year 2006, and we are having to redirect the mission and address the scourge of black-on-black violence. Let not there be any misunderstanding, along with fighting and speaking out publicly against police brutality we also spoke out & fought aginst the issue of black-against-black violence. We've held yearly "Stop the Black-on-Black Crime Tours," where The Black Fist would go into a different black community every Thursday from 4pm-6pm most time longer where we would educate on the social ills of low-income/impoverish life in within the black community and the toll it takes on the black family or lack therebof which in turn causes stress and the symtoms associated with just trying to make it day in & day out. We made no excuse for one black man or black woman picking up a pistol and blowing the brains of another all over the ground. NO! Because there is No Excuse. But there are several root causes that can place a big factor in why we kill each other for what seems like sport. And those root causes must be addressed.

What I am specifically dealing with here today is the fact that black folks are killing black folks and it has got to stop! It must stop! And it's got to stop NOW! If we are to ever survive as a race on this planet, in this nation, in this city, we can't keep going on as we are.

I personally don't have all the answers. AND NEVER SAID I DID. The Black Fist an as organization doesn't have all the answers. But guess what, we've stepped up to the plate 6 & a half years ago and done all we could on our own, sometimes with NO help and NO financial resources from the City of Cincinnati, or anywhere else for that matter. We've always used our own personal resources & finances to help our own.
We always felt it was our moral obligation as Afrikans living here in America to do whatever it takes by by any means necessary to preserve our own and fight for US!

But it takes not only The Black Fist-- it takes all of us.

Please black man talk to your wives. Black woman talk to your husbands. Black parents ESPECIALLY talk to your children. Black nation of Cincinnati talk to the elders. We need to gather wisdom and knowledge and pass it down to the children. I'm not just talking here to just be talking, I'm talking out of the wisdom and knowledge I've gained over a course of time from being on the frontline of street battle and the frontline of city government to see it from both sides of the aisle. And I still have a lot to learn. But the difference between myself and some within our midst is I am willing to listen & I am willing to learn.

BOTTOM LINE: The whiteman is bringing the guns and the dope into our black communities and the blacks of those communities are buying, selling & using the guns. The blacks of thoses communities are also buying, selling & using the dope. It's just the way of street life. Money IS the root of all evil. The traps & pitfalls are on every street corner of the hood. But it doesn't have to be.

Just because the DEVIL has been busy for the last 400 years making mental & physical slaves of a people he FEARS doesn't mean we as a people have to continue succombing to the wicked diabolic plan of the beast! Naw Black man & black woman, YOU & YOU ALONE are the only ones who can change your various mind set and stop being slaves. Your black children, from babyhood on up need to see positivity on all fronts and it starts within the black home, to whatever your particular religious/spiritual faith may be, carries over into the school systems, and subsequently into their everyday adult lives.

We need to know WHO we are and where we've BEEN, to get to where we SHOULD be. The whiteman don't give a damn about your little black children so let's get that straight right off the top. Only you black mother & black father can instill the morals, faith, principles, values, TRUE [black] education, self-love, black pride and self-esteem into your black child which will in turn spill over into love for THEMSELVES & their fellow brother and sisters. The last thing on their mind will be to kill another who looks just like them!

Is General Nikki X an expert on everything regarding the black community? Hell No! What General Nikki X can tell you she is, is a black woman who is sick and damn tired of hearing about the precious spilled blood of my black brothers and black sisters into the streets of Cincinnati and beyond. I have continously come onto this blog and various other media outlets, some big & some small, saying the same thing-- the same way for years upon years and I won't stop until somebody ANYBODY hears my cries about the problem of black-on-black violence!

I am only one woman with one voice and one mind. I choose to continue to do my part in the fight against the ungodly wickedness that's invaded our black community with a stronghold and threatens to never let go.

Before anyone and I mean ANYONE even attempts to comment on this subject I want them to think very long and very hard about this very sensitive subject and ask yourselves.....

"What am I doing to make the place I call home/black community better for my children or my fellow man?" ~ "How can I instill in my child-- black pride & black love so he/she doesn't feel it's necessary to pick up a pistol and blow another black man's/black woman's brains out?"

When we can answer those 2 simple/complicated questions, we will be half way there in answering the questions of why we kill one another and why we don't value and hold onto the precious life the Creator has given us. We must educate our OWN children on what's right and what's wrong at an early age NOT when they reach 14 or 15 years of age and at the point it may be too late. The whiteman, in his corrupt public school systems won't do it! The very man that will NEVER TREAT you right damn sure ain't gonna attempt to TEACH you right. They are OUR black children so we are obligated to the Creator & the ancestors to do it for OURselves!

For as the saying goes in one of my old favorite cartoons I used to watch as a child....."KNOWING IS HALF THE BATTLE!"
In our everday adult daily lives, "KNOWLEDGE IS POWER!"

I've been getting a lot of emails, comments & phone messages from you, the readers asking for General Nikki X to return back to our black history series and I heard you loud & clear! I appreciate all of you who cared enough to request this series back & I value you and your wonderful comments! So here we are on our thirteenth installment and I am so happy to bring to you the man I've loved for as long as I can remember! This brother really needs no introduction and the history I'm bringing to you today will only touch the surface of his intellect & genious. I encourage everyone out there reading this to pick up Songs of Freedom, the 4 Cd collection of Brother Bob Marley's career. You can order it online as I did or you can pick it up at select reggae outlets that specialize in true reggae music. This outstanding collection will run you about $60.oo or so maybe less, but every song is worth every penny.

So without further ado, I bring to the stage our dear beloved brother whom just yesterday May 11, 1981. died at the age of 36. Our brother will be forever missed but his spirit is alive and well. Doesn't seem like 25 long years since his death. I would suggest to everyone to also read the book: No Woman No Cry: My Life with Bob Marley by Rita Marley with Hettie Jones. It shows the strength and power of a black woman who stood loving and firm behind her man. Sista Alfarita Constantia Anderson-Marley, known to the world as Rita Marley stood strong with him until the day he died as his beloved wife and soulmate. Bob Marley had numerous affairs, women came and went outta his life but his one true love was Sista Rita Marley, his soulmate till death did him part.

Brother Bob Marley and Sister Rita Marley are Black Royality. A King & Queen to the black nation to always honor and respect!

ROBERT NESTA MARLEY 1945-1981

Robert Nesta Marley, (February 6, 1945-May 11, 1981) better known as Bob Marley, was a Jamaician singer, guitarist, songwriter, Rastafari and activist. He is the most widely known writer and performer of Reggae music, infamous for popularizing the genre outside of Jamaica. Much of his music dealt with the struggles of the impoverished and gave a voice to the oppressed around the world while spreading messages of hope and unity. His songs, encouraging a positive way of living while rooted in truth, expressed his experiences of struggle and everyday life in Jamaica in a relatable way to all people that has made his music universally loved.

EARLY LIFE AND CAREER

Bob Marley was born on Tuesday, February 6, 1945 in a small village of Nine Miles, Saint Ann, Jamaica. His father Norval Sinclair Marley, was born in Jamaica in 1895 to English parents who originated from Sussex, south east England. Norval Sinclair Marley, a married man was a Marine officer and captain, and also a plantation overseer when he had an affair with Bob's mother, Cedella Booker, an eighteen-year-old black girl. Although it has been a held belief that Marley's father was white, new research has shown otherwise. In Christopher J. Farley's book "Before the Legend: The Rise of Bob Marley" it is uncovered that Norval's mother was classified as "colored" on her birth certificate, meaning Marley's father was at least partially black. As a result, Marley did not know of his father's hertiage, and lived life under the misconception that his father was white. Norval died of a heart attack in 1955, age 60, when Bob was just 10 years old. Because of his fair complexion, Bob Marley faced questions about his own racial identity throughout his life, especially when Jamaica was experiencing racial tension in the 1960s. He reflects:

"I don't have prejudice against myself. My father was white and my mother was black. Them call me half-caste or whatever. Me don't dip on nobody's side. Me don't dip on the black man's side nor the white man's side. Me dip on God's side, the one who create me and cause me to come from black and white."

Bob Marley became friends with Neville "Bunny" Livingston (a.k.a Bunny Wailer) with whom Marley started to play music. It was at one of these music sessions with Bunny Wailer that Bob met Peter McIntosh (later known as Peter Tosh) who also had musical ambitions. The three of them hooked up together and became known as "The Wailers."

In 1962 Bob Marley recorded the first of his two singles, "Judge Not" and "One Cup of Coffee." The singles attracted little attention at that time. Both were later re-release in the album Songs of Freedom.

THE WAILERS

Bob Marley soon took on the role of the leader, being the main songwriter and singer. Much of The Wailer early work, including their first single Simmer down, was produced by Coxsone Dodd at Studio One. The single topped Jamaican charts in 1964 and established The Wailers as one of the hottest groups in Jamaica. They followed up with songs like "Soul Rebel" and "400 Years". On February 11, 1966., Bob Marley married Rita Anderson, and stayed for a few months in the United States where his mother was then living. Upon returning to Jamaica and The Wailers, Marley began practicing Rastafari and started to wear dreadlocks.

RELIGION

Bob Marley was a member of the Rastafari movement, which believes Haile Selassi I of Ethiopia, the former Emperor of Ethiopia to be Jah (God) incarnate, the returned messiah. Rastafari culture was a key element in the development of reggae, Marley's adoption of the characteristic Rastasfarian dreadlocks and use of marijuana as a sacred sacrament in the early seventies were an integral part of his persona as a famous musician. He would enter every show proclaiming the divinity of Jah Rastafari.

BATTLE WITH CANCER - DIAGNOSIS

In July 1977, Marley was found to have a wound on his right big toe, which he thought was from a football (soccer) injury. Urban legends have since told that it was British television personality Danny Baker who had caused the injury during a celebrity football match. The wound would not completely heal, and his toenail later fell off during a football game. It was then that the right diagnosis was made. Marley actually had a form of skin cancer, malignant melanoma, which grew under his toenail.

Marley was advised to get his toe amputated, but refused because of his Rastafari beliefs that the body must be whole, that to have an amputation would be a sin, that faith would ensure him living forever regardless of the cancer and because he saw medical doctors as samfai, confidence men who cheat the gullible by pretending to have the power of witchcraft. He was also concerned abut the impact the operation would have on his dancing. Still, Marley based this refusal primarily on his Rastfari beliefs, saying "Rasta no abide amputation. It don't allow a mon ta be dismantled." (Catch a Fire, Timothy White) He did agree to undergo some minor surgery to try to excise the cancer, which was kept secret from the wider public.

COLLAPSE AND TREATMENT

The cancer eventually spread to Marley's brain, lungs, liver, and stomach. He later collapsed while jogging in NYC's Central Park, having recently played two shows at Madison Square Garden as part of his fall 1980 Uprising Tour (the remainder of which was subsequently canceled). Bob Marley played his final concert in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, on September 23, 1980; the live version of "Redemption Song" on Songs of Freedom was recorded at this show. Marley sought medical help, and decided to go to Munich in order to receive treatment from cancer specialist Josef Issels, but the cancer had already progressed to the terminal stage.

DEATH

Marley wanted to spend his final days in Jamaica but became too ill on the flight home from Germany and the plane was forced to land in Miami so that he could receive immediate medical attention. He died at Cedars of Lebanon Hospital in Miami, Florida on May 11, 1981. His final words to his son Ziggy were, "Money can't buy life." Bob Marley received the honor of a State Funeral in Jamaica. It was a dignified funeral with combined elements of Ethiopian Orthodoxy and Rastafari. He is buried in a crypt at Nine Miles, near his birthplace, with his Gibson guitar, a bud of marijuana and a Bible. A month before his death, he was awarded the Jamaican Order of Merit.

Bob Marley had 12 children, four by his wife Rita. His children in order of birth:

1. Sharon, born 11/3/64 to Rita, by another man before she married Bob and later adopted by Bob.
2. Cedella, born 8/23/67 to Rita.
3. David "Ziggy", born 10/17/68 to Rita.
4. Stephen, born, 4/20/72 to Rita.
5. Robert "Robbie", born 5/16/72 to Pat Williams.
6. Rohan, born 5/19/72 to Janet Hunt. Married Singer Lauryn Hill.
7. Karen, born 1973, to Janet Bowen.
8. Stephanie, born 1974?, to Rita by another man, and later adopted by Bob.
9. Julian, born 6/4/75, to Lucy Pounder.
10. Ky-Mani, born 5/26/76, to Anita Belnavis.
11. Damian "Jr. Gong", born 7/21/78, to Cindy Breakspeare.
12. Madeka, born 5/30/81, to Yvette Crichton, born 19 days after Bob's death.

By celebrating on yesterday the "25 anniversary of his death, Bob Marley" Bob Marley was truly a musical genious and revolutionary black activist in every sense of the word. 14 YEAR OLD BLACK GIRL FOUND BURNED TO DEATH IN AVONDALE

14 year old Consonya "Sharee" Crawford and her grieving grandmother & guardian, Ms. Patricia Crawford.

Here's another tragic tale of a young black teen being reported missing to the Cincinnati police by her family, alledgedly the police not doing it's job in following up with the family--let alone actually finding the young girl. So now we turn on the all television stations & open the newspapers to find out she has been found.
Only problem is she's been found with a tire placed around her neck, burned from head-to-toe, body dumped and left in a park in the neighborhood of Avondale.

The first and foremost problem I have with this story is: The general public at large never knew this teenaged girl had been missing in the first place!

Where was the so-called "Amber Alert" for this young girl? I didn't see one on the television and didn't hear about one on the radio, did you? Could the fact be that the white-controlled establishment only ring the sounders for missing and kidnapped white children? Young Consonya "Sharee" Crawford is black. Translated: No Amber Alert, No Media Coverage & No "We interrupt our regularly scheduled program to bring you this breaking special report!" Naw, what we know we've gotten is a 14 year old black girl missing since May 4, 2006., and no one but her family, friends and the police knew about it!
That within itself is a damn crime! If we'd know maybe just maybe we, the public at large could've helped in some way.

We will never know now will we?

I remember some months back, maybe you do too, of the case where 2 white children who were just sitting in the backseat of a car while a caucasion man went into the main post office down on Dalton St. Some good ol' caucasion passerby saw those children sitting in the backseat of the car then looked again after he came out of the post office and they were no longer sitting there. This caucasion passerby sorta kinda thought maybe in a way those children had been kidnapped! So long story short this caucasion american called the "finest" of the Cincinnai police dept. to report what he "thought" was a crime in the form of a kidnapping and like lightening speed at the sound of light the police show up, yellow tape is placed all over the place, interviews and investigations are being conducted on the scene. And yes, dear readers, the AMBER ALERT was immediately sounded on television (breaking into regularly scheduled programming), radio and those white childrens' names plastered on every major interstate highway sign from here to California!

All to find out what? That those 2 white children where just playing in the back seat of their father's car and had pulled the backseat down and crawled into the trunk SAFE & UNHARMED!

I say all that to bring it back to these 2 facts of life: When white families call the police to report their children missing, the police in cooperation with the all types of media and highway patrol spring into action.
When black families call the police to report their children missing...they just STAY missing until Dr. O'dell Owens, Hamilton County Coroner is called to spring into action.

It's the truth. Don't get mad at me. I'm just the messenger.

Here's what The Cincinnati Enquirer online edition (finally) had to say about the now heinous crime committed against young Consonya "Sharee" Crawford that was reported missing 8 days ago & the public never knew about it. And whose decomposed charred remains was found yesterday burned to death & dumped like trash in an Avondale park:

AVONDALE - A burned body found here was identified Thursday as a 14-year-old girl who played basketball and wanted to be a doctor.

Consonya "Sharee" Crawford's grandmother and guardian reported her missing on May 4 and immediately called police when she heard a body was found Tuesday at the dead end of Blair Avenue.

"My baby was killed and burned," Patricia Crawford said. "I think that's the nastiest thing that could've happened to any human being."

Crawford tried to keep her composure as family and friends flooded her house to console her.

"I'm angry but I have a lot to do - all that can wait," she said. "I gotta bury my granddaughter, then I'll be seeking justice."

Crawford said Sharee left the house last Wednesday around 10:45 p.m. to go to her friend's house. She later headed to Blair Avenue to meet her boyfriend, Ra'Shaud Bowden, Crawford said.

She never saw him.

Bowden, 15, said he was talking to her on the phone around midnight when her phone cut out.

Crawford reported her missing the next day.

"Fourteen years she shared with me...she kept me at my best," Crawford said. "She was the one that kept the family together."

Sharee's brother, 8-year-old Jadon, sat on the porch and held his head in his hands, sobbing. He carried with him a framed photo of his sister.

The teenager's friends from school hugged and cried outside her house.

Diamond Wakefield had been friends with Sharee since the second grade.

"She was silly," the 16-year-old said, crying. "She was a funny person."

Friend Ra'Sheay Bowdon, sister of Ra'Shaud's, flipped her phone open and read a text message Sharee sent her weeks ago. "No matter how many ups and downs we have, I'm gon always be here," the message said.

Sharee attended Hoffman School, where she played basketball and made good grades. She would have attended Hughes Center's health program next fall, her family said.

Crawford wants justice. "No one should live that would burn a human body," she said.

The Hamilton County Coroner's office was examining the body to determine the cause of death.

The Cincinnati Police Homicide Unit was investigating. Anyone with information is asked to call the Criminal Investigations Section at (513) 352-3542 or Crime Stoppers at (513) 352-3040.

MOST OF ROGER OWENSBYJR. SETTLEMENT WILL GO TO ATTORNEYS!

-Most of Roger Owensby Jr. Settlement Will Go To Attorneys-

There are new developments involving the multimillon dollar settlement over the death of Roger Owensby Junior.

Local 12 has learned most of the money will go to the attorneys, not Owensby's family.

Owensby died in November of 2000 while in police custody in Roselawn.

His family accused police of using excessive force and not providing timely medical care.

Last month, Cincinnati City Council agreed to settle the case for $6.5 million.

It was originally reported that about two-thirds of the money would go to the family.

However, Local 12 has obtained documents showing the settlement only gives $1.6 million.

The contract gives the firm represented the Owensby's, Helmer, Martins, Rice and Popham $4.1 million for attorney fees.

The settlement is expected to be paid before May 1st.

Here we go again. Another story of police brutality but this story has a twist. The victim of this savage beating is non other than a police officers own wife but the story is even more twisted and sick because not only was the victim an officer's wife (and by the way her sister is a police officer too) but the savagetry came by the hands of fellow white police officers!

NOPD Faces New Brutality Claim After White Officers Beat Black Cops's Wife By Mary Foster, Associated Press Thursday April 6, 2006.

NEW ORLEANS (AP) - New Orleans' police department, its image already suffering in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, is investigating new allegations of brutality: claims that three white officers beat up the wife of a black officer this week.

The probe comes less than a week after two former officers--both white--were indicted on felonies in the French Quarter beating of a black retired teacher, violence caught by an Associated Press news crew covering the storm's aftermath in October. Two FBI agents seen helping to restrain the man were cleared of wrongdoing Wednesday, the bureau said.

On Wednesday, Jonie Pratt had a black eye, a swollen forehead and a brace on her fractured left wrist. Pratt's mother-in-law, Dulcie Scott, said the injuries were inflicted after police pulled Pratt over, claiming she ran a stop sign.

Pratt is the wife of Desmond Pratt, a 10-year veteran of the police department, and sister of officer Nancy Parker, a three-year member of the force.

"It's my understanding that one of the officers spoke the word 'black' during the incident," said Lt. Simon Hargrove, president of the Black Organization of Police. "Why would a person do that if race wasn't involved?"

The police department said in a statement Wednesday that it is investigating and that the officers have been reassigned in the meantime. Their names were not released.

The local NAACP is calling for a federal investigation. "We have a problem with this kind of thing that went back before Katrina," said Danatus King, president of the New Orleans chapter.

The FBI said it is conducting a preliminary inquiry to determine whether the case warrants further investigations.

Pratt was charged with flight from an officer, battery, resisting arrest, running a stop sign and making an illegal turn.

The Pratt's refused to discuss the matter, but Scott said Pratt was returning from visiting her sick father in Baton Rouge early Tuesday when police said she ran a stop sign about two blocks from her house. The woman drove to her house in a middle-class area of the city before pulling over.

"I saw an officer pull Jonie out of her car by her hair," said Scott, who was baby-sitting her grandchildren at the couple's house. "He was swearing at her and pounding her into the car. I said, "Stop that, that's Officer Pratt's wife."

Scott said the officer twisted Pratt's arm behind her and sprayed her with mace in her face. She said that two more white officers arrived and that the three shoved the 5-foot-2 Pratt to the ground and knelt on her back, and an officer kicked her in the head.

The white officers refused to believe that Pratt, a schoolteacher on leave since Katrina, lived in the house she claimed was hers, Scott said. "It's a nice area, and I think they meant a black family wouldn't live there," Scott said.

Pratt was released from the handcuffs after several black officers showed up, Scott said. "It turned into this real black-white situation between police," Scott said. "All the white officers on one side, the black officers on the other."

In Katrina's aftermath, New Orleans police officers were accused of abandoning their post, stealing cars and looting stores.

What the F@#* is going on in New Orleans?!? White cops beating the hell outta fellow black cops' wife?!? An Elder black man (the retired schoolteacher who was beaten half to death in the French Quarter back in October 2005, as mentioned above) beaten half to death a couple of months ago by New Orleans pigs who claimed he was drunk and disorderly when the man proved he wasn't disorderly and proclaimed he hadn't had a drink in over 25 years with his family and friends all vouching to it! All caught on tape! Even the white news crew that filmed that savage beating were yelling while filming, "He didn't do anything, Hey man, he didn't even do anything!"

We hope & pray the Feds go to New Orleans ASAP and do a real investigation and bust some white police ass down there. Police Brutality is still running rampant throughout these United States of AmeriKKKa as it has in this city. White folks don't want to believe it's happening but are they suppose too? It's not happening to them or theirs. So black people need to stop worrying themselves sick over what the whiteman thinks and defend yourselves by any means necessary! Seems like George W. Bush isn't the only one who speaks out of both sides of his lying neck. The funniest thing I heard on yestesday was a local channel 12 news reporter mention "The Black Fist" was at a Timothy Thomas memorial calling for an end to black-on-black crime.

Huh?!?

Why is that so funny? Because it was not this organization at that memorial, it was a splinter group of two that's been on low-end FM radio, public access TV, Hamilton County Commissioners & Cincinnati City Council meetings proclaiming to the whiteman (while marching around for dead white women) that the two of them "Don't deal with black-on-black crime, only police brutality."

We believe over here at The Black Fist Blog that the hypocrisy, the lies and the fantasies have run so deep with those two that from day-to-day, night-to-night even they themselves don't remember what the fuck they're saying anymore. But we find it strange that when General Nikki X comes out publicly with the truth about The "Real Black Fist" agenda & our annual Stop The Black-on-Black Violence Protest, I was called a liar. The black community has a long memory on what's what & whose who. So that pitiful attempt was just that. A pitiful attempt.

5 YEARS LATER...REMEMBERING BRO. TIMOTHY THOMAS! ---This is an reposting of my March 2o, 2005. Blog-- April 7, 2001. A young 19 -year-old teenager was brutally gunned down in a dirty back alley in the Over-The-Rhine area of Cincinnati. His name was Timothy Thomas. This young man was to become the 15th in a long line of unarmed black men being shot and killed by The Cincinnati Police in a 5 years time span. We must always remember our brother Timothy Thomas who was being harrassed by police for having a couple of unpaid parking tickets. He was aware of the Cincinnati police and their racial bias/profiling against blacks, being the victim of it himself from time to time. Cincinnati Police Officer Steven Roach murdered our brother and spent not a day in jail for his henious crime! Steven Roach is no longer with the CPD, he is currently harrassing and (probably) brutalizing blacks in the city of Evendale, where he was transfered following the unrest in 2001. The Black Fist calls what happened in April 2001, an "unrest" because in our opinions, A Riot is leaving racist white bodies lay bleeding and or dead in the streets. And that did not happen. A few hotdog stands were overturned, some garbage cans were set on fire and one white man got beat up and pulled from his delivery truck being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Let us never forget Bro. Timothy Thomas who left behind a mother, siblings, a woman who loved him and (at the time of his death) a 4 month old baby boy, a whole host of friends and a strong united black community that rallied and spoke out against his murder and fought hard to see Steven Roach imprisoned for his crime! The Black Fist stood front row center, as we did in the Owensby case to speak out , protest, go to City Hall, the Hamilton County Commissioners and hold annual rallies on Fountain Square to keep the memory of Timothy Thomas alive and to bring light to the ugly darkness of Police Brutality! MALLORY SAYS: SIGNING NEW WEED LAW IS "WASTE OF INK!"

Cincinnati Mayor Mark Mallory this week refused to sign the city's new marijuana law that carries with it a 30-day jail term for possession & a repeat offense carrying a possible six-month term.

Here's what was written in this week's edition of City Beat magazine about Mallory's (in)decision.

MALLORY LOOKS THE OTHER WAY

Mayor Mark Mallory took the passive-aggressive approach to legislation with the city's new law carrying a 30-day jail term for possession of marijuana; a repeat offense a possible six-month term. recognizing a bad law when he sees one, Mallory declined to sign the ordinance, passed 6-2 by city council, allowing it to become law without his approval.

He refused to veto the bill, however saying to do so would be a "waste of ink," given the size of the majority that supported it. Mallory knows better than that: A veto would have extended the debate and allowed him to try to change council's decision.

Last year Mallory supported a medical marijuana bill in the Ohio Senate. But looked the other way while the new city ordinance passed, he showed how deep his convictions on this issue run. If you're a cancer patient in Cincinnati and smoke pot to relieve your pain, you can go to jail for it, and Mallory did nothing to stop it.

What in the devil is going on at City Hall? This is another Screamin' Cecil Thomas production. All Cecil is doing in our opinion is gearing up for his bid for re-election in 2007. No more no less. By introducing this dumb ass proposal to bust the asses of pot smokers in this city he is attempting to do the 3 things he knows he's going to need to get his own ass back on council in November 2007. It ain't hard to figure out but pay attention anyway....

1. Pacify The White Folks: Meaning that when he's parading around in the white community doing his re-election rounds, and by then everybody busted in jailed will be black folks your man Cecil can proudly stand before the white folks and say, "Look what I did, I got all those big black knee-grows off the streets, y'all gonna be safe now, I promise!"
2. Pacify The White Folks Again: Meaning that when he's standing with Streicher, Janke, Westwood Concern (another 2 or 3 person run Cincinnati splinter group, only white) and new potential white voters, it will look good for him as he's skinning and grinning to reinterate, "I fought hard to rid the streets of the scourge of drug and the big bad black animals who are selling them!" (insert wide toothy smile & bojangles demeanor)
3. Pacify The White Folks...One Mo' Time: Cecil Thomas will constantly repeat the mantra: "I fought against crime, drugs, supported the police and I will continue to do the same if you vote for me!" (insert the same big toothy grin & same buckdancing demeanor)

Cincinnati City Councilman Cecil Thomas will brought this silly weed ordinance to the council and Mallory "looked the other way." The Black Fist has always said, "Even if the vote will go down in favor (or against) whatever the issues, we expect members of council and or the Mayor to step up to the plate and state their position and vote accordingly.

Is it right to NOT say anything at all on council when you know a ordinance or vote is coming up that will further oppress and further brutalize black people and push for more racial profiling, especially if you are a black member of council? Or the black mayor?

If Cecil Thomas, who by the way is the chairman of the Law & Public Safety committee, really wanted to show what he's made of regarding "law & order," Then we believe he should be dealing with the skyrocket murder rate, the rolling meth labs, the trafficking of crack cocaine and the illegal sell of guns being brought into Cincinnati by out of town white folks. But No, that's too hard. Councilman and cop for life Cecil Thomas picked the great big out of control problem of marijuana.

The jails are overcrowded as it is but let's thrown black people in jail for weed?!? And believe me "black" people will be the ones to go down under this law. Blacks in Cincinnati are always the ones to suffer the most in this city. Cecil Thomas knows this and Mark Mallory has been told this.

Mayor Mark Mallory should've vetoed that ordinance. Period.

I've never smoked weed and don't care to try it but right is right & wrong is wrong. The new weed law is 100% wrong!

BILL COSBY BACK TO BREAK THE BOYCOTT...?

On April 13th, Comedian Bill Cosby is coming to the City of Cincinnati. Four years after canceling two apperances downtown at the request of the groups who organized the economic boycott and sanctions on travel and tourism on the City of Cincinnati. The Black Fist supported those actions then and still supports that action today.

The following is from The Cincinnati Enquirer article written by Joe Wessels about Mr. Cosby's return:

Four years after canceling two performances downtown, comedian Bill Cosby will return to Cincinnati next week.

Cosby's apperance April 13 at Xavier University's Cintas Center will not be his usual comic fare. Instead, he will moderate sessions aimed at creating dialogue on how to make the community better.

Cosby's nationwide "Call Out" campaign to spark community discussion is split into two sessions. One at 4 p.m. will be directed at foster parents and their children and grandparents raising children.


A second at 7 p.m. will feature inspirational testimonials from local community members, nonimated by local organizations interviewed by staff of Cosby's charity, said former Cincinnati Mayor Dwight Tillery, president and chief executive officer of the Center for Closing the Health Gap in Greater Cincinnati and an organization of the event.


Both sessions are free and open to the public.


Organizers of a boycott launched in 2002, a year after rioting rocked the city following the shooting of an unarmed black teen by police in Over-The-Rhine, claimed Cosby canceled his show because of request from their group.

Bottom Line: Today, On this fifth anniversary of the heinous murder of unarmed black teen, Timothy Thomas by then Cincinnati Police Officer Stephen Roach. Mr. Bill Cosby, his reasons for coming here, good, bad or indifferent should not take away from the fact that there is a legitimate boycott taking place in this city and he should rethink his position and not come to Cincinnati at this present time. He should honor the boycott as he did in 2002, and cancel this date as well.
Fomer Cincinnati Mayor Dwight Tillery knows better. He lives here. He listens to talk radio and the complaints of black people in this city, whether it be economic injustices toward black people or racial profiling/murder of black people by Cincinnati Police. He knows the problems facing black Cincinnatians in general. And he has never supported the boycott. I personally like Dwight Tillery. We know each other and have friendly conversations whenever & wherever we meet. But Mr. Tillery also knows this is not about 'personal feelings' this is about a boycott based on police brutality/police unjustifiable murders that not 1 police officers to date has gone to prison for. So that's that in a nutshell.

With all due respect to you Mr. Cosby, Please stay home. Do not come to the City of Cincinnati at this time. Honor the boycott and economic sanctions on travel and tourism placed on this city by the same organization who contacted you the first time, which in turn you, sir, found worthy enough to abide by in 2002. As in this past mayoral race where then Senator Mark Mallory proudly received The Black Fist endorsement in September 05 and went on to win the mayors race in November 05. General Nikki X on behalf of The Black Fist will be endorsing a candidate for this upcoming Hamilton County Commissioners race.

We have two individuals running in the primary election on May 2, 2006. We have Stephanie Dumas and the other guy. All we need to be concerned with is the former Mayor of Forest Park, the more experienced and highly qualified candidate who has the best interest of all in the county of Hamilton including black people and that is Stephanie Dumas.

So today on April 7, 2006, on behalf of The Black Fist, General Nikki X is proud and honored to give the endorsement for Hamilton County Commissioner to Stephanie Dumas.

We believe Mrs. Dumas is the only choice to hold an office of this magnitude. The other guy who lost to now Mayor Mark Mallory and who subsequently lost his seat on Cincinnati City Council is a habitual political failure and nothing more than a little rich crybaby who has no other interest in running for political offices other than to make his ultra-rich daddy proud, make the rich richer and vote against everything beneficial to the Black man and Black woman of Hamilton County and The City of Cincinnati.

Vote in the primary race for Hamilton County Commissioner on May 2, 2006. The winner of the primary goes on to run against another rich do-nothing for the blacks of Hamilton County, sitting Hamilton County Commissioner Phil Heimlich. We don't need Heimlich back in that seat nor do we need the other guy.

We need Stephanie Dumas to win the primary on May 2, 2006, and then go on to defeat Phil Heimlich in November 2006! We can make it happen if we go out and vote on May 2, 2006. Rain -or- Shine!

Background info on Black Fist Endorsements: ( General Nikki X has had the responsibility of endorsing political candidates for office on behalf of The Black Fist as a whole since the political races of Mayor & Cincinnati City Council in 2001, that was the first time we as an organization stepped into the political arena on behalf of black people to endorse candidates we felt were in the best interest of black people. It happened to be the first political races right after the "unrest" of April 2001 and then mayoral candidate Courtis Fuller was endorsed by The Black Fist. The Black Fist as an organization, supported General Nikki X in going on radio, TV and newspaper with those endorsements made in 2001 and beyond. There are audio tapes of a former "general" and big-time loser of a current splinter group using the misspelled name of this group stating boldly and strongly on talk radio, "General Nikki X is the one who endorses political candidates on behalf of this group, she always has and we support her." So don't believe the hype of this demented re-inventer who couldn't even speak up for his own personal rights by Hamilton County Judge [Nadel's] order during the 2005 mayoral and city council races who now makes outlandish claims and lies through his teeth about the Mallory endorsement amongst other things. I've gotten a chance to skim through Bronson's Version of the "riots," the events that led up to the "riots," the "players" involved and what he views as Them -vs- Us. With THEM being the pure Christianized saintly whiteman of Cincinnati along with the "heroic" only doing their jobs, Cincinnati Police Department. And US.
With US being the savage unlawful ungodly "police-hating" knee-grows of Cincinnati.

In the legendary profound eternal words of Black Fist General-- Major General Minister Abdul Muhammad Ali,-- Brigadier General Nikki X will be attempting to give you, "What is to be known as your bottom line,"...

Peter Bronson's book is 100% grade A bullshit and not worth a third of the $15.00 asking price! His book is written by and published by Bronson, not to say that's a bad thing to publish your own book but based on the history and racially biased language of this Cincinnati racist from way back, "I'd bet a dollar to a donut" (another legendary quote from Major General Minister Abdul Muhammad Ali) the "recounting of the riots, the events leading up to it caused by POLICE BRUTALITY not police misconduct and the actions or should we say inactions taken by the Mayor, City Council and its Administration, all blame is placed on the black man, the black woman and the black child -NOT- where blame should be placed and that's with the Cincinnati white man, his white woman and his white child.

THE STRANGEST THING ~OR~ BABYLON: THE LAND OF CONFUSION



Knowing we are in Babylon the land of confusion: Where right is wrong & wrong is right, Down is up & up is down. The Black Fist pose the following question to its readership: What can a concerned person do when they know another person is having a very public 100% complete emotional & psychological mental breakdown?

Should they:

1. With extreme caution approach the mentally ill person and try to reason with them in the hopes there's something still there to reason with?
2. Reach out to the family of the sick individual and inform them of the danger their loved one is causing to themselves & the public at large?
3. Place a call to the proper authorities (Cincinnati Police Department) and make them aware that a sociopathic/mentally deranged person is on the rampage, terrorizing innocent people with absolutely no end in sight?
4. Contact the proper authorities (241-KIDS/Hamilton County Department of Jobs & Family Services a.k.a. The Welfare) on behalf of the innocent offspring (son or daughter) of the sociopath? What if hurt, harm or danger comes to the child from the hand or circumstances of the psychopathic parent because they are 100% out of touch with reality and the general public at large knew of this sickness and did nothing?
5. Take it upon yourself to beat the shit out of that person until they've had enough and the victim(s) know they will no longer be attacked and/or victimized by the psychopathic/mentally deranged stalker?

Faithful readers of "The Black Fist Blog," you decide. What would be in the best interest of the community at large when dealing with a deranged stalking psychopathic manic? We are taking all reasonable suggestions and comments under consideration due to the seriousness and the safety of us all.

The strangest thing of all is "When compassion, empathy, prayer and reason go flying out the window, what's left for any sane person to do?"
