BLACK PANTHERS JAILED IN COP-KILLING PROBE

File this entry under another Black Fist Special 'Round The Nation Report. This report comes straight out San Francisco, California.
I will reprint the article in its entirety, ofter a few thoughts on behalf of The Black Fist, then request that the faithful readers of this blog to do the same.

You can find this story at www.nationalvanguard.org check it out. It's deep.

Black Panthers Jailed in Cop-killing Probe

Ex-Black Panther Ray Michael Boudreaux, 62, and Richard Brown, 64, have been jailed in a San Francisco Superior Court judge for contempt of court following their refusal to testify in grand jury hearings into the 1971 slaying of San Francisco police Sgt. John V. Young. Young was killed when two "unidentified Black males" fired a shotgun into a San Francisco police station. Murder charges were thrown out in a 1975 decision after a judge found that cops had whipped a confession out of one of accused.

Boudreaux and Brown join two other comrades, Hank Jones, 70, and Harold Taylor, 57, already in jail for contempt in the same probe. Taylor was one of the defendants in the Young murder trial. Prosecutors are also using the grand jury in fishing for information on the murder of Sgt. Brian McDonnell, killed when his police station was bombed in 1970.

Defense lawyers for the accused maintain that the subpoenas violate their clients constitutional rights.

People often forget the extreme violences surrounding the Black Panthers, who were aided and abetted by Jewish and deranged White leftists.

The Story Ends There. Now a few thoughts from General Nikki X:

Looks like there will be no snitching within the Black Panther Organization, wish I could say the same thing for the Black Fist Organization. But at least "our" snitch (all praises due to Allah) is no longer around to jeopardize the safety and security of our sincere and dedicated members who are focused, on track and ready for battle!

The Black Panther members who [allegedly] committed the crimes described in the article above, in the opinon of The Black Fist, are some strong black soldiers and may they, by the divine blessings of the Creator, raise up out of jail very soon to resume the lives they have been denied.

Allow me to deal with that last sentence in the article: "People often forget the extreme violence surrounding the Black Panthers, who were aided and abetted by Jewish and deranged White leftist." Now here they go with that bullshit! What violence? Yes, there have been "allegations" but who ever proved any Black Panther ever killed anybody? That's the same shit folks around this racist anti-black city called Cincinnati try to put off on The Black Fist. "They're so violent," They're so vicious," "They're a bunch of cop-haters," and the recently but most imfamous interjected quote that came from a 100% bonafided racist pig himself, none other than Keith Fangman, ex-president & ex-vice-president of the Fraternal Order of Police (FOP), now just regular ol' fat police patrolling pig, "They [The Black Fist] advocate the killing of cops!"

Remember that one? Fangman has always said that about this non-violent self-defense advocating organization but recently reiterated that inflammatory rhetoric during the 2005 Mayoral election when General Nikki X on behalf of this organization, as I've done in so many past elections with the blessing of our membership, endorsed Mayor Mark Mallory for mayor and due to the negative association this organization HAD with an ex-Black Fist snitch and his own personal lust for a bipolar simpleton & wanting to terrorize black folks on HER behalf, We, The legitimate members of The Black Fist got lumped in with the snitch's personal problems and his consequence incarceration! So when the people heard the rhetoric and/or read in the white-controlled press about the "advocating cop-killing Black Fist," they would show a picture or refer to the ongoing case of the ex-black fist snitch, all the while knowing it was General Nikki X who did the endorsing and it was accepted with pride from then Senator Mallory knowing full well the ex-black fist snitch was completely in no way, shape form or fashion related in anyway with that endorsement.

It's the truth and it's just that simple.

Nevertheless, the Black Panthers preached and taught 'self-defense' they were NOT roaming the streets on the prowl like sme black animals out to kill cops! That's the propaganda the whiteman propagated for years and continue to do so even today.

Cold-blooded murder & self-defense are 2 entirely different things. Any struggling 1 year law student will tell you that!

What are your thoughts about the Black Panther story or anything else that was said within this story? Your views and opinions are valued and respected here on The Black Fist Blog! Just always remember that with anything else in this world...."You get what you give!" So please THINK BEFORE you comment. We expect racist ignorant rhetoric from the whiteman but we expect so much more from our beautiful black brothers and sisters. We do indeed welcome input but we will not tolerate bipolaristic bullshit or so-called "friendly advice" from the "friends" of bipolaristic bullshit. OK?

Ok. Fine. Well-now. That should do it.
That concludes this edition of The Black Fist 'Round The Nation Special Report!

BLACK POWER, EVERY HOUR!!!
WHEN YOU DIG A DITCH FOR ONE.....

Be very careful for you may have to dig a ditch for two. It seems there are some folks in this community who think they can do whatever they want to do and say whatever pops into their empty brains. But there are laws on the books that state clearly...YOU CAN NOT!

Here's one for example:

2917.21 Telecommunications harassment. 1974. Amended 1999.

(B) No person shall make or cause to be made a telecommunication, or permit a telecommunication to be made from a telecommunications device under the person's control, with purpose to abuse, threaten, or harass another person.

That is according to the Ohio Revised Code.

So the next time the black communities "biggest losers" decided to slander, defame or "permit a telecommunication to be made from a telecommunications device under the person's control, with the purpose to abuse, threaten, or harass another person...."

Maybe these 2 "Big Losers" should take the free advice giving by our beloved sister back in 1980, Ms. Aretha Franklin and.....THINK!

This is a public service announcement from "The Black Fist," Brigadier General Nikki X, Head of "Telecommunications" and everyone who has ever been slandered by a lonely, worthless, pathetic, empty, wicked black devil Troll and her over-the-hill washed-up black devil sidekick.

All speech is not protected under the United States Constitution. Don't be angry with The Black Fist for simply pointing it out, we didn't write the Constitution. Take any grievences you may have to your local representatives in Government.

Thank You!

SISTA GENERAL NIKKI X LIVE ON THE SISTAHOOD SHOW!

I am so sorry I couldn't bring this entry to you sooner, but due to the late hour I received my invitation (about 15 mins. before show time) to be a guest on WAIF 88.3 fm, "The Sistahood Show" with Host Sis. Victoria today from 5pm-6pm, I was only able to be a "call-in guest". Therefore I was unable to notify the readers of this blog in advance, so you'd all be able to tune in and listen.

General Nikki X of The Black Fist was on a panel with some strong black women in the activism movement here in Cincinnati, Sistas like: Sis. Victoria, chairwoman of the organization Concerned Citizens For Justice, Sis. Iris Roley, vice-president of The Cincinnati Black United Front and Sis. Bernadette, executive director of The Out of Egypt Ministries.

It was an honor to be a guest on The Sistahood Show. I discussed the isses of the day, the shooting in Avondale of the 2 black children (please see blog entry: 2 Black Children Shot!!!) and a host of other thought-provoking topics.

I'd like to take this time to once again thank the host of The Sistahood Show, Sis. Victoria -- for personally inviting General Nikki X to come in the studio with her today and allowing me to represent the hard-core black militant views and opinons of The Black Fist Organization!

And a big black powered thank you all of you who did get a chance to listen to the show and hear me speak up for the black nation. I've received your phone calls & your emails since the show aired, and I thank you for all of your black powered words of continued encouragement & support!

It is always a honor as Spokesperson, Head of Security, Head of Telecommunications and Administrator of this blog to publicly represent The Black Fist in its "Black Militant Capacity," whenever and wherever I can. I thank all of you who support this organization and who read the information given with love and respect for the salvation and liberation of the entire black nation!

Sis. Victoria has asked me to come back on WAIF as her guest, and seeing as though today was not my first time on "The Sistahood Show," I informed her it would most certainly not be my last!

When I know the date and time, you'll know the date and time!

Thank You For Reading "The Black Fist Blog!"

BLACK POWER, EVERY HOUR!!! KEEP PEACE IN THA STREETS!!!
MAYOR MALLORY ENDORSES DAVID PEPPER FOR HAMILTON COUNTY COMMISSIONER?

Our friend, The Dean of Cincinnati over at www.cincinnatibeacon.com in his capacity of journalist political watchman has uncovered something so baffling and so unimaginable that I had to read it twice.
General Nikki X has never claimed to be a politician nor do I fully understand a lot of the ins and outs (although I'm learning quickly!) of political alliances and politicians themselves.

But if you read the story written by The Dean, and go to ex-city councilman and failed mayoral candidate crybaby David Pepper's revamped website (which you won't get here --No play on The Black Fist Blog for crybaby Pepper. EVER!) you will see a list of endorsements and on that endorsement list is none other than Cincinnati Mayor Mark Mallory, the man who defeated Pepper in the 2005 mayoral race despite Pepper using The Black Fist Endorsement of then Senator Mark Mallory and the infamous race card which totally backfired in Pepper's face causing him to lose in by a landslide!

The question on the table today is, "Why would Mayor Mark Mallory be supporting David Pepper when it was just about 101 days ago when Mallory was everywhere proclaiming David Pepper was a big part of the "Chaos at City Hall?!?" With Mallory always at the ready to produce a long list of examples of David Pepper's extreme incompetencies in his role of city councilman which made him unfit for the office of mayor.

What's changed since November 2005 and March 2006 about David Pepper to cause Mark Mallory to suddenly forget the "Chaos at City Hall" and want to help ensure he becomes the next Hamilton County Commissioner?

Does Mallory, with this Bank deal currently on the table and city council crying and acting like a bunch of spoiled idiots fighting him [Mallory] every step of the way, think it now best to add Pepper to the "Chaos at The County?"
We don't understand the logic (if any) behind Mallory endorsing this spoiled lil rich crybaby brat who threw everything at him (racial & inflammatory) just less than 16 weeks ago, but the kitchen sink?

When WDBZ "The Buzz" 1230am had their remotes from Junebug's BBQ & Steakhouse in the west end back during the election season, our good friend and political expert George "Junebug" Beatty pulled General Nikki X to the side when the heat was on about my endorsing Mallory on behalf of this organization, Bro. Junebug said, "Always remember Sista Nikki, there are no permanent friends and no permanent enemies in politics." I will always remember those words. Is that what's happening now in this situation?

Today The Black Fist are asking the following questions:

  1. What does this say to the black community who overwhelmingly supported Mark Mallory over David Pepper?
  2. Is Mallory betraying the trust of the black community by now, less than 16 weeks after the election and Pepper playing the race card against Mallory & against the black community as a whole, by endorsing this racist?
  3. David Pepper worked overtime to inflame the white community about Mallory being endorsed by a so-called "hate group" now he [Mallory] turns around on publicly supports this clown? Is Pepper promising Mallory something behind the scenes?
  4. What would cause Mallory to not support an experienced seasoned well-versed politician, who has the interest of black people and their needs at heart like our dear sister Stephanie Dumas?

Yes, I hear Bro. Junebug's words over and over in my head but in the words of General Nikki X... WTF is going on in this town???!!!!!

The Black Fist is staying on top of this Hamilton County Commissioners race as we've done in the past. You better believe that.

The Black Fist said we would give Mayor Mallory 6 months in office before we give our opinion of his leadership in office and report back what he's done in office to benefit the black community....Well maybe we ought to move that 6 months time frame up a bit and take a look at just what is Mayor Mallory doing in the best interest of our community right now?!?

What I'm saying today on this blog is nothing new to Mayor Mark Mallory, I told him face-to-face when he proudly accepted the Black Fist Endorsement, we'd be listening and watching and if he fails to hold to the promises he made to the black community on the campaign trail -or- Do anything not in the best interest of the black community, The Black Fist would be the first to publicly hold him accountable, I felt it our obligation to those who supported us as we were supporting him. Mallory looked at me and said, "General Nikki X, I wouldn't expect anything less from you."

In lieu of this endorsement of a racist like David Pepper....I hope Mallory's ready for his own "endorsement review?"

We'll see. I'm just raising the issues and asking the tough questions!

BLACK POWER!

(David Pepper is declared a "racist" by The Black Fist based on his political voting record which clearly shows he voted against the interest of black people at every given juncture and opportunity. This man is also declared a "racist" based on his inflammatory rhetoric against black folks in general and by diong his damndest to incite the white folks when he knew his numbers were down in the 2005 September mayoral primary election polls and plummeted even lower as the November election drew nearer. Pepper did not posess nor did he ever have a snowballs chance in hell of ever matching intellectual wits one-on-one with Mallory so he choose to use The Black Fist Endorsement and our highly-charged style of Black Militant activism and a black dummy like Charlie Winburn and other black saps to speak out against us and ultimately all involved came up short. The rest is history!)

MALLORY'S ENDORSEMENT STATEMENT

As written by Mayor Mark Mallory on David Pepper's newly revamped website. General Nikki X will re-print it in its entirely here on "The Black Fist Blog" and you be the judge:

Mayor Mark Mallory endorse David Pepper for Hamilton County Commissioner 2006

"David is a hard working and enthusiastic public servant. His creativity and attention to detail are needed to help the county address the challenges it faces.
The citizens of Hamilton County will be fortunate to have such a passionate advocate on the board of County Commissioners."

There you have it. It sounds like an excellent public endorsement statement given to the wrong Hamilton County Commissioner candidate.
That's the opinion of The Black Fist......

"What's yours?"
2 BLACK CHILDREN SHOT!!!

Last night on the corner of Hutchins & Reading Rd., 2 black children, a boy and a girl, were wounded by gun fire. The ages of those children, the boy age 10 and the girl age 12, Both are at Childrens Hospital, both are expected to live.

If you listened to 1230am WDBZ "The Buzz," The Lincoln Ware Show today you heard General Nikki X call-in from the scene of that heinous double shooting to inform the community that "The Black Fist," were out there doing some investigatory work and talking with the black men and women who live in & around that area about what's really going on and about the things you don't hear about in the white controlled press & on the white controlled television news cast.

We also had a protest there with a very good turn out. The members of The Black Fist along with members of the Avondale community, black men and black women, who are fed-up and sick 'n' tired of being sick 'n' tired!

I have written in the past right here on this blog and in the Cincinnati Herald newspaper about the extreme amount of homicides in the black community. This has got to stop. We know the problems but what are the solutions?

Every year for about the last 5 years, The Black Fist have had our "Stop the Black Violence Protest," where we would protest once a week, every Thursday from 4pm-5pm (most times until the sun went down) in a different black community. Where we would talk to our people about stopping the violence in their communities, passing out informative literature, letting the people know what they can do to help themselves and encouraging our black community to stay alert, protect yourselves but always love one another as brothers and sisters. Along with informing the community that The Black Fist don't just talk but we are about action! And we passed out informative literature on what we have been doing in the community & what we are all about!
We were very successful in these communities and our people listened and alot of them even participated in the protest itself.

There were callers to The Buzz asking the same ol' question, "Where are the activist to get out there and stop this crime and these shootings?" Number 1, as I stated when I called in, the "activist" are out here and we are doing what activist do, but the real question is, "Where is the black community to get out here with us not hiding behind us or just calling talk radio stating the obvious?" I'm so tired of hearing black folks get tired of the killings for a day then its back to usual the next day or until the next shooting/killing!

2 little children were shot last night people!!! If that's not enough to be outraged about then I don't know what is.
As we stood on the corner of Reading Rd. & Hutchins, we saw 2 white women pass us by gaily jogging, smiling with their headphones on. Now the first thought that ran through my mind was, "If I were a white woman, I'd be jogging through Avondale right now too." Why? Because that's the safest place in the city right now, you see the white man and his woman KNOW not a hair on their heads will be ever be harmed and no bullet will ever graze their white skin in Avondale, Over-The-Rhine, Roselawn or any where else not by the hand of a black person...Oh no, because they know the ignorant negroes are only going to shoot other negroes.

The police are not doing their job! I don't care what rhetorical bullshit city councilmembers (old or current) push out here in defense of the police or the same ol' lying rhetoric Cincinnati Police Chief Tommyboy Streicher himself is pushing! The police have been on a slowdown every since 2001, they figured the activist were on their backs about police brutality and collabortive agreement & etc, so we'll just "slowdown" and in a little while those negroes will be screaming for us to come in their neighborhoods to save 'em from themselves!

The Cincinnati Police are paid by taxpayers dollars to fight crime NOT The Black Fist! We expect NO we demand the police to get off their proverbial blue asses and do their jobs!
If this were 2 children in Hyde Park, Mt. Lookout, Western Hills or (the white part of) Westwood -- All hell would be breaking out at City Hall from white community activist, at police districts 1,2,3,4, & 5 and the mayor (yes, Mayor Mark Mallory) would be in front of somebodies camera demanding something must be done and be ready to put big dollars behind the effort to stop crime and of course, hire more police!

The blacks out here that are shooting and killing each other are only making some members of this rogue Cincinnati police dept. & the Klu Klux Klan happy as hell. Now they don't have to lift a finger against us -- Black folks are doing their jobs for them!

I also heard former Cincinnati City councilwoman Alicia Reece call-in to The Lincoln Ware Show, I believe she was the first call of the day and she was on fire! She blasted the Mallory Administration down at City Hall, said they were'nt doing anything and talked about the short (less than 10 mins. some of them) meetings the city council have on their regularly scheduled Wednesday 2pm session. She said something that struck me as odd, when she was on council from 1999-2005 -- she did, (in the opinion of The Black Fist and based on the callers of that radio station and the people in the streets) basically nothing to further or help the black community whatsoever and I wonder if some of the shooters who are gunning down our black brothers and sisters and now our children in the streets of Cincinnati, were former residents of Hunnington Meadows, the housing complex where Alicia Reece and a couple of her close money-hungry pastor buddies hoodwinked the black people out of their homes with lies and deceit!?!

What also stuck me as strange was in the course of Reeces' call, in the midst of her so-called fiery lecture she referred to the unrest in 2001 as a "race-riot!"
Hhhhhmmmm, funny that when she was a sitting member of council the word "race" never fell from her lips in regards to the unrest. I suppose its safe to tell the truth now that her political "position" has changed!

The Bottom line is: The violence must end! I'm tired of picking up the newspaper and/or turning on the television to read or see another black person has been shot or killed. And all for what? Self-defense is one thing but what we have going on today is black brutality against other black folks and its not right and it must end!!!

We must utilize whatever medium we can to get the word out to our black community about this black against black violence. Not use the airwaves and internet for personal crybaby bullshit. It's a waste of time and for real, most people aren't even listening to alot of the garbage that's been floating around here these past couple of months and the ones who are listening are laughing their heads off. General Nikki X and The Black Fist only care about the salvation and liberation of the Black nation! P-E-R-I-O-D!

If you are not legitimately about that, we are NOT interested. And by the conversations we had today on the corner of Reading Rd. & Hutchins with the black people who live and work in that area -- neither are they! They are trying to stay alive and keep their children safe from hurt, harm & danger.

And that's what The Black Fist will be assisting them in doing!

We have too many problems and not enough soldiers but the ones we have are dedicated to the cause and we will continue to fight against police brutality, fight against the Klan and educate and protest against this sick wave of black against black violence, by any means necessary!

The Black Fist have dedicated our lives to fighting against police brutality and exposing dirty, rotten, no-good rogue cops in the City of Cincinnati and seeking the imprisonment of said police when they kill one of us unjustifiably!
But how can we keep on railling against the police when they kill us when blacks who gun down other blacks and do a host of other stupid crimes, keep the pigs in our hoods and in our faces?!?

Don't get it twisted, The Black Fist will always stand toe-to-toe with the pigs when they brutalize and murder black people in the streets like dogs!.......

But who besides The Black Fist will stand toe-to-toe with the conscienceness of black people to declare.....THE VIOLENCE PERPETRATED EACH OTHER MUST END?

Your comment and concerns are welcomed on this very serious topic. Please heed our words and respect & protect Black life.

We're doing our part.
Are you doing yours?

INDEPENDENT LENS: GORDON PARKS

It is with great sadness that I bring to you our eleventh installment of The Black Fist: Best & Brightest Everyday Black History Series. This will be a combined black history moment/loving tribute to one of the greatest photographers the world, not just the black world but the ENTIRE WORLD has ever seen. Our dear brother elder Gordon Parks died Tuesday at the ripe old age of 93. Parks, who also wrote fiction and was an accomplished composer, died in New York, his nephew, Charles Parks said in an interview.

Elder Brother Gordon Parks was also one bad man behind the movie lens. He directed the movie The Learning Tree and Shaft. Becoming hollywood's first major black film director. "The Learning Tree," in 1989 was among the first 25 American movies to be placed on the National Film Registry of the Library of Congress. This registry is intended to highlight films of particular cultural, historical or aesthetic importance.

"The Learning Tree" was Gordon Parks very first film, in 1969. It was based on his 1963 autobiographical novel of the same name, which the young hero fights against his own fears and racism as well as experincing his first love and schoolboy triumphs. Gordon Parks wrote the films' score along with his directing duties.

And behind the lens of his camera he captured the struggles and triumphs of black life here in America, as a photographer for Life Magazine. He covered everything from fashion to politics to sports during his 20 years at Life Magazine, from 1948 to 1968.

This edition of The Black Fist: Best & Brightest Everyday Black History Series is dedicated to the memory of our dear elder/brother pioneer in the world of entertainment, politics, sports, photography and humantarism, Elder Brother Gordon Parks.
General Nikki X, as spokesperson on behalf of The Black Fist, with a heavy heart, calls this moving tribute to the lifeworks of Gordon Parks.....Independent Lens.

GORDON PARKS (1912-2006)

Gordon Parks was born November 30, 1912, in Fort Scott, Kansas., the youngest of 15 children. In his autobiography, "Voices in the Mirror," he remembers it as a world of racism and poverty, but also a world where his parents gave their children love, discipline and religious faith.

He went through a series of jobs as a teen and young man, including piano player and railroad dining car waiter. The breakthrough came when he was about 25, when he bought a used camera in a pawn shop for $7.50. He became a freelance fashion photographer, went on to Vogue magazine and then on to Life in 1948.

"Reflecting now, I realize that, even within the limits of my childhood vision , I was on a search for pride, meanwhile taking measurable glimpes of how certain blacks, who were fed up with racism, rebelled against it," he wrote.

When he accepted an award from Witchita State University in May 1991, he said it was "another step forward in my making peace with Kansas and Kansas making peace with me."
"I dream terrible dreams, terribly violent dreams," he said. "the doctors say it's because I suppressed so much anger and hatred from my youth. I bottled it up and used it constructively."

In his autobiography, he recalled that being Life's only black photographer put him in a peculiar position when he set out to cover the civil rights movement. "Life magazine was eager to penetrate their ranks for stories, but the black movement thought of Life as just another white establishment out of tune with their cause," he wrote. He said his aim was to become "an objective reporter, but one with a subjective heart."

In 1961, his photgraphs in Life, of a poor, ailing Brazillian boy named Flavio da Salva brought donations that saved the boy and purchased a new home for him and his family. The story of young Flavio prompted Life readers to send in $30,000, enabling his family to build a home, and Flavio received treatmnet for his asthma in an American clinic. By the 1970s, he had a family and a job as a security guard, but more recently the home built in 1961 has become overcrowded and rundown.
Still Flavio stayed in touch with Parks off and on, and in 1997 Parks said, "If I saw him tomorrow in the same condidtions, I would do the whole thing over again."

In addition to novels, poetry and his autobiographical writings, Parks' writing credits included nonfiction such as "Camera Portraits: Techniques and Principles of Documentary Portraiture," 1948, and a 1971 book of essays called "Born Black."

His other film credits included "The Super Cops," 1974; "Leadbelly," 1976 and "Solomon Northrup's Odyssey," a TV film from 1984.

Recalling the making of "The Learning Tree," he wrote: "A lot of people of all colors were anxious about the breakthrough, and I was anxious to make the most of it. The wait had been far too long. Just remembering that no black had been given the chance to direct a motion picture in Hollywood since it was established kept me going."

Last month, health concerns had kept Parks from accepting the Willliam Allen White Foundation National Citation in Kanasa, but he said by phone in a taped presentation that he still considered the state of Kansas his home and wanted to be buried there, in Fort Scott.

2 years ago, Fort Scott Community College established the Gordon Parks Center for Culture and Diversity.

Jill Warford, its executive director, said Tuesday that Parks "had a very rough start in life and he overcame so much, but was such a good person that he never let the bad things that happen to him make him bitter."

Final Remarks From General Nikki X:

I remember Bro. Gordon Parks saying in an interview that, "Nothing came easy." "I was just born with a need to explore every tool shop of my mind, and with long searching and hard work. I became devoted to my restlessness."

What else can be said about this extraordinary black man named Gordon Parks? He will be missed. In his works in film and photos he will be forever remembered. The Black Fist celebrates the life of Gordon Parks and will be forever grateful for his contributions to the black stuggle in pictures, films, poems and politics.

And our deepst condolences go out to the surviving members of his family.

A MAN WITH A PLAN: LOUIS FARRAKHAN

In our ninth installment of The Black Fist: Best & Brightest Everyday Black History Series, We are going to take a look at the life of a strong black visionary, a man with a plan, The Minister Louis Farrakhan.

Louis Farrakhan was and is a very complex brother. A man who loves his people, one who speaks out boldly against racism and oppression heaped upon black people here in the hells of north america and around the world.

So without further ado, General Nikki X likes to call this one....."A Man With A Plan."

LOUIS FARRAKHAN (1933- )

Louis Farrakhan was born Louis Eugene Walcott, on May 11, 1933 in the Bronx, New York. He is the leader of the Nation of Islam.

Walcott was raised within the West Indian community in the Roxbury section of Boston. His mother had emigrated from the Caribean island of Saint Kitts in the 1920s; his father was a Jamaican cab driver from New York but was not involved in his upbringing.

As a child, he recieved training as a violinist. At the age of 6, he was given his first violin and by the age of 13, he had played with the Boston College Orchestra and the Boston Civic Symphony. A year later, Walcott went on to win national competitions, as well as the Ted Mack Amateur Hour. He was one of the first blacks to appear on the popular show.

In the 1950s, Walcott became an up-and-coming Calypso singer. Popularly known in Boston as "Calypso Louie," he recorded several Calypso albums under the name "The Charmer."

In 1955, while headlining a show in Chicago entitled :Calypso Follies," Walcott first came in contact with the teachings of the Nation of Islam. He had been inspired by Malcolm X and he had accepted a friend's invitation to attend the Nation of Islam's annual Saviour's Day address by Elijah Muhammad. Walcott accepted Elijah Muhammad's teachings that day and was renamed "Louis X."

Adoption of the "X" surname is a tradition within the Nation of Islam. In mathematics, "X" represents the unknown variable. In the purview of the Nation of Islam, followers accept the "X" surname as the rejection of their slave name. Eventually, the "X" name is replaced by a proper Muslim name more descriptive of the individual's personality and character.

After joining the nation of Islam, Farrakhan quickly rose through the ranks to become Minister of the Nation of Islam's Boston Mosque. He was appointed Minister of the Influence Harlem Mosque and served in that capacity from 1965 to 1975.

After Elijah Muhammad's son, Warith Deen Muhammad, was installed as Supreme Minister of the Nation of Islam, he disavowed many of his father's beliefs and practices. He brought the group closer to mainstream Islam and remained the organization the Muslim American Society.

By 1976 Farrakhan became disillusioned with Warith Deen Muhammad's leadership and quietly walked away from the movement. In 1978 Farrakhan, with a few supporters, decided to rebuild the Nation of Ialam. In 1981, he publicly announced the restoration of the Nation of Islam as an organization that followed Elijah Muhammad's teachings.

On October 24, 1989, at the J.W. Marriott Hotel in Washington, DC., Louis Farrakhan stated that he had a vision of being abducted in 1985 by an invisible pilot in a UFO and carried up on a beam of light to a "human built planet" known as the "Mother Wheel." There the voice of Elijah Muhammad informed him that the President and the Joint Chiefs of Staff, under the direction of Gen. Colin Powell, were planning a war, which Farrakhan said he later came to realize was "a war against the black people of America, the Nation of Islam and Louis Farrakhan."
"I saw a city in the sky," Farrakhan said, after which the UFO "brought me back to Earth and dropped me off near Washington; over to Tyson's Corner and Fifth Street I think...to make the Announcement."

On January 12, 1995, Malcolm X's daughter, Qubilah Shabazz, was arrested for conspiring to kill Farrakhan. It was later alleged that the FBI had used a paid informant, Michael Fitzpatrick, to set up Shabazz. After Shabazz'a arrest, Farrakhan held a press conference in Chicago in which he accused the FBI of attempting to exacerbate division and conflict between the Nation of Islam and the family of Malcolm X. Nearly 4 months later, on May 1, U.S. government prosecutors dropped the case against Shabazz.

On May 6, 1995, at a packed public meeting in Harlem, New York termed A New Beginning featured Louis Farrakhan and Malcolm X's widow, Betty Shabazz. Originally organized by community activist as a fund raiser for Qubilah Shabazz's legal defense, the meeting marked the first public rapprochement between Farrakhan, the Nation of Islam and the Shabazz family.

On October 16, 1995 Farrakhan convened a broad coalition of black men in what many said was the largest march in American history, the Million Man March. The calming of Farrakhan's fiery rhetoric in recent years possibly signaled a change of direction in the Nation of Islam, and much also due as well to the seriousness of the advanced prostate cancer with which he was diagnosed years ago, but is evidently in remission.

Louis Farrakhan is currently the leader of the Nation of Islam and lives in Chicago, Illinois at the former home of Elijah Muhammad, near the campus of the University of Chicago.

Farrakhan, along with New Panther Party leader Malik Zulu Shabazz, Al Sharpton, Sen. Barack Obama (D-Illinois) and other prominent black Americans marked the 10th anniversary of the Million Man March by holding a second march, the Million More Movement on October 14, 2005 through October 17, 2005, in Washington.

CONTROVERSY

One of the most controversial quotes attributed to Farrakhan, and which led to him being censured unaminously by the United States Senate, was "Hitler was a very great man." Farrakhan made this statement in response to a Jewish journalist at The Village Voice referring to him as a "Black Hitler."

"So I said to the members of the press, 'Why won't you go and look into what we are saying about threats on Reverend Jackson's life?' Here the Jews don't like Farrakhan and so they call me 'Hitler.' Well that's a good name. Hitler was a very great man. He wasn't great for me as a black man but he was a great German and he rose Germany up from the ashes of her defeat by the united force of all of Europe and America after the First World War. Yet Hitler took Germany from the ashes and made her the greatest fighting machine of the twentieth century, brothers and sisters, and even though Europe and America had deciphered the code that Hitler was using to speak to his chiefs of staff, they still had trouble defeating Hitler even after knowing his plans in advance. Now I'm not proud of Hitler's evil toward Jewish people, but that's a matter of record. He rose Germany up from nothing. Well, in a sense you could say there are similarity in that we are rising our people up from nothing, but don't compare me with your wicked killers."

Farrakhan has referred to Jews, Palestians Arabs, and Asians as "bloodsuckers" and stated that "Murder and lying come easy for white people." He has also been accused of calling Judaism a "gutter religion" although Farrakhan and his defenders deny this. An article in the NOI's periodial, Final Call, states that Farrakhan instead used the expression "dirty religion," and that "...in Minister Farrakhan's vocabulary the phrase 'dirty religion' has a particular meaning...' "dirty religion' is the distorted faith which emerges from its manipulation by hypocrites or sinners." (http://www.finalcall.com/national/rabbis2-28-200.htm)

In 1998, Former The Wall Street Journal editor Jude Wanniski attempted to foster dialogue between Farrakhan and those who had labeled him anti-semitic. He arranged for Farrakhan to be interviewed by reporter Jeffery Goldberg who had written for the Jewish weekly, The Forward and The New York Times. Since the extensive interview was never published in either publication, Wanniski decided to post the transcript on his website in the context of a memo of Senator Joesph Liberman. The following are links to the interview, parts one, two and three:

Although Farrakhan has denied he dislikes Jews, it must be noted that Elijah Muhammad, whom Farrakhan has, arguably, patterned himself after, once allowed the leader of the American Nazi Party, George Lincoln Rockwell to address the Nation of Islam in Chicago in 1963. Indeed, Rockwell paid Muhammad what he believed to be a compliment when he called the NOI leader the "Adolf Hitler of the black man." Not only did Muhammad allow Rockwell to speak, he applauded him enthusiastically. In response to NOI members who booed Rockwell, Muhammad chastised them, saying, "If they speak the truth for us, what do we care if they are white?...we'll stand on our heads and applaud!"

Louis Farrakhan has also alluded to a figure called "Yacub, (or Biblically, "Jacob")" in regards to whites. According to Farrakhan's mentor, Elijah Muhammad, blacks were born righteous and turned to unrighteousness," while the white race was "made unrighteous by god who made them (Mr. Yacub)."

In comments regarding the decimation of New Orleans, Louisiana during Hurricane Katrina, Louis Farrakhan citing "very reliable information," stated that there was a 25-foot hole under one of the key levees that failed, and implied that the levee's destruction was a deliberate attempt to wipe out the population of largely black sections within the city. Farrakhan later revealed that the information was current New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin, who told him of the crater during a meeting in Dallas, Texas.

Farrakhan cited the fact that the levee broke the day after Hurrican Katrina passed as proof that the destruction of the levee was not a natural occurrence. Additional questions have been raised and a federal investigation into the source of the levee break is ongoing.

A FEW WORDS FROM GENERAL NIKKI X: Today, Minister Louis Farrakhan remains a strong leader of the Nation of Islam, under the teachings of The Honorable Elijah Muhammad (Peace be upon him), who recieved his divine teachings from Master Fard Muhammad (Peace be upon him)......

Well there you have it folks! The life and times of Minister Louis Farrakhan. It only proves it doesn't matter where you started or what name you were born with -- It's all about who and what a person has evolved into and where they are today. In The Black Fist we've adopted a saying, "Dogs and slaves are named by their masters, Free Black men and Free Black women name themselves!" And that is the affirmation and beliefs we, the legitimate members of this organization, live and operate by today! It doesn't matter in the organization called 'The Black Fist" what a person was yesterday, all that counts is what and how a black person operates his/her life today. For example: The black race right here in good ol' Sinsinnati have a wicked, ungodly black devil(s) running around amongst us who are so concerned and worrying themselve(s) so sick they actually look old, ugly, miserable, worn out, tired, evil and recieve (but rarely take their) medication from the University of Cincinnati hospital in their pursuit of "alerting" others of who someone may or maybe not have been in the past that they themselves still run around with a "slave name," not even attempting to change it but even worse waited damn near 12 years to research and find out what their own child's Afirican name meant, the name given to the child by the father who hated the mother so much he refused to reveal what the name meant. General Nikki X knows this to be a fact, for this particular "black devil amongst us" some years back asked Black Fist Generals Kabaka Oba and Nikki X right outside of Pastor Damon Lynch III's church, New Prospect Baptist Church to be exact, to look in one of our African books (knowing "we" would have that extensive knowlegde, based on "our love" of the black nation) to look into one of those books and reveal to this evil black devil what her sons' name means....(?)

Of course, Kabaka & General Nikki X were more than willing to help out this evil black devil. Ultimately, we never got around to revealing what the name meant because "we" noticed the evil old looking devil getting even more older looking and more evilier in her words and deeds toward the black community, as a whole and upon Kabaka Oba's closer observation and based on the rhetorical slander and defamation of Kabaka and The Black Fist membership by this ungodly black devil, Kabaka informed General Nikki X that this black devil was just that a black devil and "we" should steer clear of this obviously mentally unstable black devil lady. I agreed with Kabaka and we proceeded in "our" joint pursuit of fighting against police brutality, fighting the Klu Klux Klan and reuniting the Black man and the Black woman for a strong black family. The agenda of The Black Fist, as laid down by General Kabaka Oba and General Nikki X.

The truth is to be told not sold. Regardless of the pages on the calendar. It's just that simple. And Minister Louis Farrakhan is a shining example of telling the truth to our beautiful black nation regardless of how we may be in denial of said truth.

General Nikki X believes in telling the truth and not re-inventing Black Fist history based on bedfellows. And she also believes the old saying, "Anything worth having is worth fighting for!"

Sometimes the medicine one must take to heal oneself is not the best tasting medicine but if you swallow it quickly and accept that this medicine IS the medicine that can absolve you of your "ills", most in general a "sane" person will take their medicine, feel better and never know what hit them!

An "insane" person will run around [sick with wickedness] lying and instigating bullshit and in the end, also.....never know what hit them!

27 YEARS TO FREEDOM: NELSON MANDELA

In our eighth installment of The Black Fist: Best & Brightest Everyday Black History Series, We will publish an affirmation written by our South African Brother, Bro. Nelson Mandela. The life story of Nelson Mandela is a well-known -- overly told story and rightfully so -- Story of a black man who was imprisoned for 27 years for protesting, speaking out publicly and wanting freedom, justice, and equality for his brothers and sisters in South Africa. Nelson Mandela did his time, 27 long years and not once did he whine, cry or use the time he was allowed in the media to sing the same ol' "I was done wrong and these are the people who did me wrong" song. Which if he had he would've been 100% within his rights to do so. He knew all along he was innocent and truly speaking out for the salvation and liberation of the black [South African] nation, and that's the ONLY reason he was imprisoned.

Bro. Nelson Mandela was imprisoned 27 long hard brutal years for trying to bring equality & justice to black people suffering under the racist and oppressive conditions in a country that originally belonged to Black people but stolen and ran by the white man. He fought FOR the black people of his country.
He wasn't imprisoned for fighting AGAINST black people.

There is a difference!

The Black Fist as an organization, can and will always respect a black man who truly stands up for his people especially a black man who spent 27 years wrongly imprisoned, was released and got on with the business of living and continuing on his true lifes mission of fighting for the liberation and salvation of the black nation!

So what we've decided to do in this installment, as stated above, is publish Bro. Mandela's affirmation he gave to all of us to reflect upon and ultimately live our lives by.
I'd like to thank one of our Generals in The Black Fist, General Emerald, for bringing this affirmation to the faithful readers and supporters of this blog.

General Emerald likes to call this installment...27 Years To Freedom. And this beautiful affirmation penned by Nelson Mandela is called "Our Deepest Fears"....

OUR DEEPEST FEARS -- BY NELSON MANDELA

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our Light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who are we to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are we NOT to be? We are a children of the Universe. Our playing small does not serve the World. There is nothing enlightening about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around us. We were born to make manifest the glory of the Universe that is within us. It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone of us. As we let our own Light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our fear, our presence automatically liberates others.

Well there it is. Our beautiful brother Nelson Mandela gave us this thought-provoking affirmation and we are to take this and incorporate it into our black conscience thinking and in our daily actions in the best interest of the black nation as a whole.
Whether it is the black nation in AmeriKKKa -or- the black nation of South Africa, we must always hold ourselves in the light of dignity, truth, respectablity, nobility, and love for ourselves and our black brothers and sisters.

We must always tell the truth in the face of the enemy, but what [some] black people within this community and around the world should learn to do more often is tell the truth to....."Themselves."

Michael Jackson, love him -or- hate him said it best, He stated boldly he's starting with the "Man in the Mirror".....and asking him to change his ways.

Nelson Mandela looked deep within himself, "Will You?"

THE RISE OF A PHOENIX: DRUSILLA DUNJEE-HOUSTON

In this seventh edition of The Black Fist: Best & Brightest Everyday Black History Series, We will pay honor to a Supreme Queen, a black woman of great literary intellect -- our beloved sister Drusilla Dunjee-Houston. Sister Drusilla was born at a time when women, especially the 'black woman' where not seen and NEVER heard. This powerful sister broke down the barriers and not only did she exposed the wickedness of the whiteman here in america, but exposed the fact that "we" came from something bigger than chattel slavery, we, the black people of the earth had a great African past that she documented in her published work, The Wonderful Ethopians of the Ancient Cushite Empire.

So Sit back and read about an extraordinary black woman who is worthy to be honored in our best & brightest black history series. General Nikki X likes to call this one....The Rise Of A Phoenix.

DRUSILLA DUNJEE-HOUSTON (1876-1941)

Drusilla Dunjee-Houston was born June 20, 1876 in Harper's Ferry, West Virginia. Her father was John William Dunjee, a minister with the Baptist Home Missionary Society. Houston was the eldest of five children and lived in many locations in the South and later in Oklahoha, where her father moved to establish Baptist churches for blacks in rural areas.

By early 19th century standards, the family was middle to upper class enjoying many opportunies and benefits of "first family" in the 10 different churches founded by John Williams.

As Drusilla described their status "My father very early on owned a libruary of 3,000 choice volumes. On the wall of our home hung fine oil paintings and other things in the home surprising to one who a few years before had escaped from slavery to Canada.

A few years after arriving in Oklahoma, Drusilla eloped and married Price Houston in 1898, a wealthy businessman who was 20 years her senior. The couple settled in McAlester Seminary for girls. Twelve years later she returned to Oklahoma City where she continued teaching. In 1915 she became a contributing editor with the Black Dispatch, a local black newspaper began by her brother Roscoe Dunjee.

A school teacher, newspaper columnist, community activist, church leader, and historian, Drusilla Dunjee-Houston ranked history as the highest level of intellectual pursuits. It became her primary means of individuation providing a measure of security and assurance about her own heritage - a mixture of African-America, Native American, and White.
Her interest in ancient African and historical research was triggered by the 1915 publication of The Negro authored by W.E.B. DuBois. Her life-long pursuit of Africa's past and her devotion to her race places Dunsilla Dunjee-Houston in the foremost ranks of Pan-Africanist historians.

Houston moved to Sapulpa, Oklahoma and started a private school for women and girls called the Oklahoma Training School for Women and Girls. The name was later changed to the Oklahoma Baptist College. While in Sapulpa, she included another column for her readers entitled Training School Notes to keep them updated on the activities at Sapulpa and sustained the financial support links that she had established for the school. Drusilla remained in Sapulpa for five years before returning to Oklahoma City in 1923.

Many societal and family demands filled Houston's life. She managed to raise her only child by herself after Price's death, write weekly for the Black Dispatch to which she contributed nealy 2,000 editorials, and taught public school on a full time basis. In addition to these accomplishments, Drusilla managed to amass an impressive amount of documentation of the ancient African past - culminating in her only published work, The Wonderful Ethopians of the Ancient Cushite Empire.

Houston's last place of residence was Phoenix, Arizona where she went to live close to her sister Blanche and her children. Even though she retired to Phoenix due to illness, she began immediately to write columns for the Arizona Journal and Guide.

Drusilla Dunjee-Houston died from tuberculosis on February 2, 1941. Her daughter Florence was at her bedside.

Well there you have it folks! The life of another extraordinary black woman ahead of her time, Sister Drusilla Dunjee-Houston. Sadly, at the time of her death in 1941, she was working on another book of African history. Who knows how that book would've turned out and what truths Drusilla Dunjee-Houston would've uncovered in her journeys. The Wonderful Ethopians of the Ancient Cushite Empire is a piece of literary work, General Nikki X has read 5 times and on her way to a 6th.
It is to be studied and re-studied. General Nikki X has always believed that the way to educate oneself is to "re-educate" oneself.

Drusilla Dunjee-Houston is a class study in dignity, fortitude and mastering the science of delving deeper into not whats on the surface but what's right beneath the surface. She gave us one of the greatest documents ever written about our dignified & glorious past. And today we, The Black Fist Organization give Drusilla Dunjee-Houston a big "Black Power Salute" and our deepest gratitude for showing us -- "Black WAS Beautiful" -- before -- there ever was a black power shout of..... "Black IS beautiful!"

JUST A FEW QUESTIONS...

  1. How loud does a person have to speak before they realize no one is listening anyway?
  2. When a tree falls alone in the forest, how loud of a sound does it make?
  3. Can an illiterate person truly appreciate the value of alphabet soup?
  4. Can a person in a world population of over 1 billion ever truly be alone?
  5. Does a person have to know how to spell to pass an IQ test?
  6. Why is jealousy referred to as "the green-eyed monster?"
  7. Is the crying game really just a game?

And finally, the question our dear brother, Nate Livingston Jr. asked over at www.blackcincinnati.blogspot.com

"What happens when you run out of breath while running for your life?"

Just a Few Question....."Do you know the answers?"

HOWARD PLAYED A "HUSTLER" NOW LET HIM "FLOW!"

Terrence Dashon Howard is nominated for an Academy Award* this year for his brilliant work in the big screen movie Hustle & Flow. I really enjoyed Terrence Howards' performance in that movie, where he played a pimp whose life-long dream was to be a rapper, and in my opinion he deserves to win. But seeing and remembering the way Hollywood operates and practices fluent racism when it comes to bestowing the so-called covented Oscar* award to black folks, I doubt if he actually wins. And with our beloved brother Jamie Foxx pulling it off last year for his dead-on performance of Ray Charles in the movie Ray, I'm not sure if "the man" will turn right around and drop another statue on a negro any time soon. Hollywood doesn't mind a black person being referred to as an Academy Award* nominated actor/actress but "the man" in Hollywood are only gonna "allow" a certain number of negroes to actually take home their covented statue. I didn't just make that up, just go to www.oscar.com and take a look at whose won and who was lost. And while you're looking check out the race of the winners and the race of the losers and you do the math over a 75 plus year history of these awards.

Will Terrence Howard win? We'll see on Sunday night at 7pm, won't we? (check your local listings for the channel)

I heard today on WDBZ 1230am "The Buzz", The Lincoln Ware Show, that a number of Hollywood's best & brightest are 100% against Terrence Howard performing the song, "It's getting hard out here for a pimp," live at the Oscar* Awards. Now the controversy comes in with Academy Award* winners, Sidney Poitier and Denzel Washington along with rapper/actor Will Smith "encouraging" Howard NOT to perform the song on the awards show.

Poitier, Washington and Smith feel like it would be degrading for Howard to perform the song in front of an international world-wide audience, stating, "It would be extremely stereotypical and would show black men as nothing more than hustlers and pimps to the entire world."

I've always thought it was quite racist and stereotypical that if a brilliant actor like our brother Denzel Washington, who brilliantly and right on target played the hell out of Malcolm X, but did not win the Oscar* but when he played a no-good smooth but shady rogue cop on the take in the movie Training Day, it was....And the Oscar* goes to....Denzel Washington!!!

Our sister Halle Berry, whom I truly love watching on screen, She's made alot of brilliantly acted films and should've won an Oscar* for her stellar performances in several different Hollywood films. But what did stereotypical racist Hollywood "allow" her to win the Oscar* for...."Monster's Ball." Where she's doing the bucky-naked humpty dance with a white man, a white man named Billy Bob Thornton, who was the prison guard at the same prison who pull the switch on her black husband, played by the negro Sean "P. Diddy" Combs. I think that's what he's calling himself these days. So I believe you get that picture. I could name several other brilliant actors and actresses who should've won the Oscar* but didn't like Diana Ross, Dorothy Dandridge, Billy Dee Williams, Angela Bassett, Larry Fishburne, and Regina King, just to name a few, the list could go on and on. And I know for damn sure Bassett & Fishburne should've won Best Actress and Best Actors awards for playing Tina and Ike Turner in What's Love Got To Do With It. Our beloved sister, The Legendary Diana Ross should've won hands down Best actress in 1972 for Lady sings the blues. I just watched that movie early this morning for about the 100th time. And Ms. Ross did her thing.

All of that leads me back to our brother Terrence Howard, What do you think? Should he take off his tuxedo and throw on some baggy jeans, a doo-rag or let "the man" put that conk process shit back in his head and get up there and "perform" his "getting hard out here for a pimp" song? I'm told the rap group Three 6 Mafia wrote the song, actually recorded the song and will be joining Howard on stage for the performance. Granted now, I believe Howard hasn't made up his mind (as of this printing) whether of not he will actually perform the song at the Oscar* awards. So he may just sit this one out and with Poitier & Washington on his back not too, that's some serious pressure so we'll see. Terrence Howard could probably care less what the hell Will Smith thinks. But the other 2 gentleman, Hey! They carry some big-time black hollywood weight! Now my thing is let Three Six Mafia do their thing, they are rappers by profession -- that's what they do and they are not up for a best actor anything! Howard is a fine guitarist and singer but it's HIS night to be dignified and chill in the audience and wait for his name to be called, good, bad, or indifferent. Howard Played A "Hustler" Now Let Him "Flow"...But in the opinion of General Nikki X and The Black Fist, let the "hustler" chill in the audience and wait for his name to be called to recieve his Oscar (?) and let the flowing be flowed by someone else.

Is Oscar* trying to make a fool outta Terrence Howard? Should he get up on that stage and do his little 3 mintue rap about how hard life is for a dag-on pimp? Is Sidney Poiter, Denzel Washington, and Will Smith (a real-life rapper) and probably others (behind the scences) on the mark advising Howard to sit this one out and don't do song? Will you even watch the Oscar* awards this year, at 3 and a half hours, shit that's a long time for a possible maybe, huh? Do you even care about the Oscars* period?

Tell us your thoughts. I'm really interested in this particular conversation. I will be posting comments as fast as I can on this one but if you don't see your comment right away, please continue to check back. We want to hear from all of you and we want to hear it all!

FILE THIS ONE UNDER: "AIN'T THIS SOME SH**!"

I learned of this story on yesterday. I really had no intent to talk about this because some things are just so freakin' ignorant and embarrassing, you just wanna look over it. But in the end I'm glad to bring this to you today, it was time. And it finally allows me to get some things off my chest that I've talked privately to some folks about over the years but never really touched on in cyberspace. Plus I wanted to stay on course with our Black Fist: Everyday Black History Series that I'm getting great responses and feedback on (thanks to all of you who have read them and stop me 'round the nati to say Black Power!!!) Now getting back to the topic at hand...

It never cease to amaze me the length at which our black folks will go to get paid. I started to call this story "Paid For Our Degradation!" But decided to call it exactly what I was thinking when I first read it. And for that reason, I also decided to reprint it in its entirety.

We'll call this edition another Black Fist 'Round The Nation Special Report. Check this out, read it carefully and give us some feedback. I must give one of my thoughts right now before you even read this one and ask the question: "When will black folks realize some things just shouldn't be allowed/tolerated?" And "When will black folks realize dignity and self-respect is never for up for sale?"

You can find this embarrassing but oh so real story at: www.wired.com by Rogers Cadenhead

DAMON WAYANS TRIES TO TRADEMARK N WORD FOR CLOTHING LINE

The Actor Damon Wayans has been engaged in a 14-month fight to trademark the term "Nigga" for a clothing line and retail store, a search of the U.S. patent and Trademark Office's online database reveals. Wayans wants to dress customers in 14 kinds of attire from top to bottom, and use the controversial mark on "clothing, books, music and general merchandise," as well as movies, TV and the internet, according to his applications.

But, so far, his applications has been unsuccessful. Trademark examiner Kelly Boulton rejected the registration dated Dec. 22, citing a law that prohibits marks that are "immoral or scandalous." A previous attempt by Wayans was turned down on identical grounds six months earlier.

"While debate exists about in-group uses of the term 'nigga' is almost universally understood to be derogatory, "Boulton wrote to Wayans's attorney, William H. Cox, according to the application.

Cox and other representatives of the actor did not respond to interview requests about the registration.

Wayans can appeal the rejection, but experts in trademark law differ on his chances for success.

Lynda Zadra-Symes, a trademark lawyer in California, said Wayans may be successful. She compared "Nigga" to the successful registration of Dykes on Bikes. The San Francisco Women's Motocycle Contingent fought the Trademark Office for three years to overturn an initial rejection of a Dykes on Bikes trademark. The mark was published Jan. 24

"Because the application was by a group of lesbians it was eventually allowed to publish," Zadra-Symes said.

"This is a great victory," the group proclaimed on its website. "It affirms our right to determine who we are and how we present ourselves to the world."

However, Tawnya Wojciechowski, another trademark attorney practicing in California, compared Wayans' application to the ongoing legal case where Washington Redskins trademarks have been challenged by seven Native Americans. "They're going to have a really tough time," Wojciechowski predicted.

The word "nigga" is ubiquitous in hip-hop music, where it provides half of the rhyming couplet radio listeners never get to hear in the Grammy-winning song "Gold Digger" by Kanye West.

Ol' Dirty Bastard used the term 76 times in the 1999 album Nigga Please, not counting repetitions in a chorus.

In January, an episode of the late-night Cartoon Network series Boondocks was criticized for putting the word in the mouth of a fictionalized Martin Luther King Jr.

The effort to commercialize "nigga' drew a sharp response from a black school official who participated in a forum about the word earlier this month at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro.

"I don't care for it in any form," said Dr. Lonnie Williams, associate vice chancellor for student affairs. "Either way you pronounce it, spell it, anything associated with it -- I find offensive."

If Wayans succeeds in persuading the Trademark Office to permit the mark, he may have to deal with Keon Rhodan, a 29-year-old entrepreneur in Charleston, South Carolina, who has been using the word "Nigga" on a line of T-shirts, hoodies and other attire for six years in a part-time, trunk-of-his-car business.

Rhodan attempted to register "NiggaClothing" as a trademark in 2001 and was denied by the Trademark Office.

"They said it was disparaging," he said.

Rhodan, who is black, said that he's sold around 2,000 of the shirts at events. When he began selling the shirts, emblazoned with the term "Nigga," he thought he would take criticism, especially from older people.

"I was in the mall with one of the shirts on, and an old lady said, "Where did you get that shirt from?" he said expecting the worse. "She followed me to the car and bought five shirts for her grandchildren."

Rhodan believes that affectionate use of the term within the black community should make it an acceptable mark, but the Trademark Office has thus far has not been persuaded by that argument.

"The very fact that debate is ongoing regarding in-group usage, shows that a substantial composite of African-Americans find the term 'nigga' to be offensive, " Boulton wrote in rejecting Wayans.

Though attempts to commercialize "Nigga" coincide with a generational shift in how the word is perceived, the clothing line is still likely to test some boundaries, as Rhodan demonstrated in a phone interview.

"You couldn't wear it," he said.

The story ends here.

Now a few more thoughts from General Nikki X:

The first thing that always strikes me as odd is the fact that the whiteman invented the word "nigger" in the frst place but are now the first ones to say, Oh hell no, you blacks can't use it. Just as this same whiteman was the one who perfected beating the hell out of blacks as slaves on the plantation, but it is the black man, and so many other black parents who have stood in front of Judges right here in Hamilton County and in similiar courtrooms around the country for physically disciplining their children. I'm not talking about beating the hell out of them like the whiteman oppressor "legally" beat the hell out us, No, I'm talking about whooping them in a disciplinary non-abusive way.
Not to veer too far off course, but that example had to be made.

Second thing: In my opinion, it makes not a damn bit of difference what the lesbians fight for. Especially some silly term like "Dykes on Bikes"...,When they [the lesbians] started calling themselves by that term. We [black people] never called ourselves (before slavery) by a filthy derogatory ignorant term like "nigger, "nigga," or however these black dummies running around today wanna write or pronounce it!

Thirdly: In my opinion, once again, (not to disrespect my elders) but whomever the "old lady" was "who bought those five shirts for her grandchildren," had to be suffering from some form of debilitating disease of the brain to purchase and give that type of shirt to her grandchildren. "What was she thinking?" Now if this was an older white lady.....I can certainly understand.

Final thoughts: Damon Wayans is our brother, true enough but he is trying to get paid off the back of degradation and past human dehumanization of the African blacks sold here in chains by the whiteman in order to recieve free labor in this land and line his [white] pockets.
Damon Wayans should be ashamed of himself and I say that for the likes of Kanye (Bush don't like black people) West, and (rest his soul) Ol' Dirty Bastard and the like.

Let us as, The first man and woman on the planet Earth, The Black man and The Black woman, remember who we are and always have dignity, respect, honor, and class about ourselves then we can demand and command that same respect from others.

If we don't honor us.....Who will?

General Nikki X had to give it to 'ya straight no chaser because......

"IT MAY NOT ALWAYS BE GOOD NEWS BUT ITS HOOD NEWS!"

BLACK POWER, EVERY HOUR!!!
