Former Cincinnati City Council Person, Christopher SmithermanWhen will ex-council person Christopher Smitherman get over the fact he lost the Cincinnati City council race? When will this man stop blaming black folks for not voting for him? This man publicly supported the Latinos, the Appalachians, the Gays and the Lesbians but when he comes on his weekly radio show he is never blaming those groups for not voting for him. Only black folk.
Apparently, the Latinos, the Appalachians, the Gays and the Lesbians didn't vote for Mr. Smitherman either but it is reported he fails to repeatedly cry (or cry at all) about those lost votes. Only the lost black votes.
I assert to the black community what is obvious to everyone except Mr. Smitherman...that if black folk wanted you back on council, black folk would've voted for you.
The June 2006 tough talk coming from Christopher Smitherman about black folks needing to stand up and fight for their rights, boycotting this city and a whole host of "activism" type rhetoric is just that. R-H-E-T-O-R-I-C. Sounds good. It's uplifting. It makes ya' wanna shout. But really what's new? There are those of us who have been out here "holding the line" for years even before there was a Smitherman on council. So what's new today? The boycott of Cincinnati continues. No one to my knowledge has ever called it off. Actually it's on automatic. How? Just don't shop in downtown Cincinnati. How hard can that be? Black folk don't even need a councilman or a "leader" for that one.
Smitherman uses old Kabaka Oba audiotapes to convey what he is unwilling to say (in the public) himself because of his future run for Cincinnati City council in 2007. We think that's a shame because if a person gets on radio week after week as Smitherman does to incite & goad other folks to "stand up" then it is our belief that he (Smitherman) should be the first in line. I've said it before, I have no problem saying it again:
Christopher Smitherman is a private citizen now. He can travel right down to Cincinnati City council put in his yellow card, sit down, wait to be called and speak to the powers that be just as any other private citizen can. If he has an issue with the banks project, the Cincinnati Police Department, the loitering/homeless laws or any of the various issues he raises on his show then he should be encouraged to take the LEAD.
Using a dead man speaking the words to council that he is unwilling to speak to council himself UNLESS he is actually on council is in no way showing true leadership and a willingness to continue the fight for blacks that he screams other blacks should be showing. Quite frankly it is showing the black community just the opposite.
How do I know? Because the black community IS talking.
And I do not mind at all saying so. As a matter of fact, as someone who has fought for years in the streets, spoken out at council and stood up for the black community as a whole without a political anything in front of my name or a back room check being cut in my name, I find what Mr. Smitherman is saying as belittling and insulting to the intellect of black people within the sound of his voice.
Former council member Smitherman's air of superiority and arrogance impresses no one other than himself. How do I know? Because the black community IS talking about that too.
So what is this really all about? The salvation and liberation of the black nation as a whole? -OR- Christopher Smitherman for Council 2007?
Smitherman says, "Black people need to start being politically sophisticated and start seeing through the games these politicians play."

Michael Bailey disrespected General Nikki X in life -via- internet, radio and television.
I am only speaking the truth. If Bailey sitting on television spewing lies and issuing threats against General Nikki X and others doesn't bother you, that's your problem not mine. But seeing as though the vemon, slander, threats and terrorist rhetoric WERE against General Nikki X and others, General Nikki X will speak about them as long as I deem necessary.
After all that's what bailey and bipolar Joy Rolland said on a number of their various terrorist TV shows, the two of them said, "We will continue to talk about them as long as we want."
Unfortunately his time to threaten folks and "talk" was alot shorter than hers.

I can't believe it! You & I agree on something.
Smitherman will pay dearly for "using" a dead man for his personal gains. To some, it's an old wives' tale, but it's actually the truth. No good will come to Smitherman.
Smitherman will continue to blame the black folks. He has no one else to blame. It's simple & easy for him this way, because he knows the black people won't call him out.
He wouldn't dare fingerpoint the whites, Hispanics & the GLBT people. Wouldn't dare because he lost their support the day he boosted himself in that chair in Council Chambers. He further alienated these people when he attempted to get righteous, saying he was the Police Chief's boss. Smitherman forgot that every resident in Cincinnati was HIS BOSS & he failed miserably at the demands made by the population.
Smitherman is a psycho jackass. He needs to take Ritalin or something to get his mental faculties back to normal. This city does not need this idiot representing them. Smitherman in 2007? This boy is dreaming & he'd better wake up & take care of his insurance selling business, which he called "financial planning". This jerk's a joke. Didn't vote for him the first time & he wasn't on my ballot the last time. Good riddance to ghetto garbage!

I just call it as I see it.
But it's funny that when "the bigger person" was silent, minding her own business & "writing positive things for black people," My attacker(S)were free to roam, terrorize and get in the public and repeatedly attack me.
I wonder did you ever pull THEM to the side and ask them to be "the bigger person" and leave General Nikki X alone?

What if those "people of hue" in our community that are proporting to be 'respectfully' in the struggle for the victory over all of the ills in our community woke up one day to the mannerable and honorable reality that God, our elders and our children are listening and watching our verbal and behavioral deposits into the mental, spiritual, social, cultural, community and universal atmosphere(s), then maybe, just maybe they would "respect" the divine reason why God gave man His connection to Him in His Light, which 'commands' us to reflect Him in every aspect of our lives. Respect, Honor and Love are only a few virtues of God. Could we simply try to master these few virtues in our words and actions towards each other?
I thought Smitherman and Kabaka were good friends because he is the only one that is saying anything about Kabaka and his trial. no one else is speaking about Kabaka... I wonder why?
If Smitherman has so much to say about Kabaka's trial then why didn't he answer his supenoa to testify for the defense in the trial of Howard Beatty? Yes Smitherman was suppose to tesify FOR Howard Beatty but didn't show up to court.

Smitherman only uses kabaka's name to further his OWN political career with the blacks. Remember that come November 2007!
